Really, hour and a half in the leveling roulette queue as a DPS?
There has been issues with duty finder since 3.1. Notice how it still says 0/2 dps even tho you are 1 of those 2 dps?Thats a bug, a whm friend had the same issue with waiting 60+ minutes on an expert roulette with 0/1 as the heal slot.
Not sure of a fix
I blame Fallout 4.

I was going to see if it would ever pop, this was the limit of my patience.
I haven't been able to do expert for two days because of this. Something is not right about the queue.
Only comment SE has made is that there is no issue with the duty finder except for 0 out of everything bug. Definitely proof right there that its broken. They should just put it back to how it was immediately and figure out there mistake. Not to mention they cant have tried too hard with checking this.
You should try posting those screenshots on this thread http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...-should/page11
A lot of people are getting this issue with roulette queues, everything seems normal for other stuff.
From what others are saying its a roulette issue, getting those extremely long times. Try and queue the dungeons individually and it takes maybe 3mins. All the evidence points to a problem with them changing how DF works.
From what I understand the "0/X players" is just a UI bug, and doesn't actually affect the amount of people qued. However, from what I've seen and understand the que itself for Expert Roulette is completely broken in a different manner. So far the only time I've gotten Expert to pop is when queing as a full group already. A friend and I spent about an hour waiting on it last night as the two DPS roles, before we finally gave up and hit the level 50 roulette to level our other classes. Whatever this issue is, it seems specific to the Expert roulette, and it's quite disappointing....
I am on Jenova and have not had a problem with the roulette popping. Been less than 5 mins most the times, my main is scholar.
No problems here. I think the longest 4-man queue I had was ~30 min, with it usually being 15 or less.
Iv'e also had no problem with ex roulette..longest is maybe 20 minutes off prime time? As Bard, by the way.
Every time I get that UI error it stresses me out so I just withdraw and rejoin.
The queue is bugged 0/2 dps and your a dps you should just leave and requeue.
Showing 0/2 dps etc is a bug SE acknowledged. Its just visual does not affect the actual queue and doesnt mean you need to requeue.
A quick little update, as I had time to play around with stuff.
Leaving and rejoining the queue had the same exact behavior. I tried rejoining three times, waited 40m, and 25m both times.
After about 45 seconds, the UI would go 0/2 DPS from 1/2 every time. No idea if this is linked.
Now, when I queued all available dungeons manually (that the leveling roulette would have selected automatically) not only did I not get the 0/2 bug, but I queued in within 5 minutes.
Roulette is definitely broken and that really sucks for the 20's grind before you can start using FATEs efficiently.
Level a tank. Problem solved.
DPS ques were always horrendous outside of DREX
I'm just going to leave this here:

For leveling, use fates, levequests, daily hunt bills, weekly challenge log. If your role isn't needed in DF parties, then you can not do it and level through those other methods, mainly fates. Disproportionate queue times can't really be fixed with the way the game uses a Tank/Heal/DPS composition requirement.
Maybe the next time they do an FF mmo, they won't do these holy trinity roles and jobs can be more unique instead of fitting into templates, like how Astrologian had to be similar to White Mage to fit the requirements of a healer, limiting what could be done with its card support buffs and offensive spells.
Think you're missing the point. It's not the disproportionate wait times based on archetype that's the problem per say. It's the fact that before the 3.1 patch, wait times were not THAT bad. Now they are. Could be Fallout 4's fault, but who can say for sure other than Squeenix who would more likely have those statistics on hand than us.
Before 3.1 this was NOT an issue, and yet now everyone's having problems. It honestly makes no sense considering that usually dungeon queues are almost instant queue for everything a good couple weeks after a patch. I find it strange that SE is claiming there is no issue here.
I don't even understand why they messed with the Duty Finder algorithm again. I had no problems getting into content of all levels on prime time before 3.1 as a non-Tank but now everything except Expert takes an upwards of 30 minutes, sometimes even up to a whole hour as a DPS and sometimes even as a healer.
Don't fix what wasn't broken. This is not working as intended.
There is something wrong with duty finder, it is obvious by now. Reply, lock the thread and fix it.
I main AST and WHM but haven't noticed anything different since 3.1, most queues are instant or under 5 minutes. I haven't played my MCH since 3.1 but queues were maybe 15 minutes before. 30+ reminds me of when I started the game a year ago as BRD.
Maybe it's just because there is a lack of people doing roulette? Chocobo here and I was able to get into Primal roulette in just over 5 minutes just fine on both Sat/Sun. Weekdays do get longer, because 1. People who work are not home yet - 2. PF is filled 50+ with Diadem, KotR, AS.
Seems fine to me getting instant queues in all leveling stuff.
I seem to be getting okay queues as well, nothing exceptionally aberrant. Some are slightly longer, but probably due to new content.
That isn't to say there isn't an issue though, but perhaps it's not something in the part of the DF that they're looking at - I assume the distribution/matchmaking part is the big one they tend to look at first and then the other parts, the initializing/player-end communications that it's probably being overlooked, and thus why it's harder for them to track it down. The system that reports the issues might also be encountering an issue that it's not sure how to report on, or is getting what it believes are normal responses which are actually non-normal. Hard to say, but that's kind of what I've just been musing over about it.
I'm definitely having lots of issues getting into parties on Black Mage in the last few days. I've tried about 5 times to do Leveling Roulette and Level 50 Roulette, and each time I've waited 30-40 minutes before giving up and doing other things. Once I waited over an hour before getting too irritated to continue. Each time, the average wait time always says ~10-15 minutes. Total BS.
FINALLY FIXED! WOOOO!

■The following adjustments have been made:
Adjustments have been made to the Duty Finder algorithm to address increased queue times resulting from adjustments made in 3.1.
Patch 3.1 introduced a change to the matching algorithm for Duty Roulette wherein it would “prioritize matching the party to instances for which the party meets the number of members required”, resulting in the roulette role numbers to appear as “0”.
Although the window may have displayed incorrectly, the internal matching process was still functioning correctly, so we have temporarily removed the role matching window. We are looking into modifying the specifications in the future.
Well, as of today, I don't even get to the screen that shows the party roles. I'm stuck on the "forming party, reserving instance" screen.
...
What made us feel it wasn't working was it consistently taking 40+ minutes to queue roulette, but checking the two instances manually would consistently take 15 or less---and the entire time the estimated wait times would be reporting really short wait times.
Hope it actually improved the roulette queue times...time will tell.
