Lack of Crit on SCH weapons lately

Anyone else getting the feeling that SE doesn't understand how the job works...or is choosing to handicap it? Ask any SCH what stat they want on a weapon and they will say Crit as we have the most synergy with it. More crit equals better defensive shields and better overall dps. Thing is...we have not had a Crit substat on an endgame weapon since Ravana EX.

It's really frustrating watching every other job get Crit options on weapons when our only build option stat wise is Det/piety or SpellSd/piety. If the new relic doesn't have Crit or let the player choose the stats, it's going to be a sad and salty wait until the glimmer of hope that is 3.2. :(

The weapons were used as kind of a balance bandaid, in addition to helping groups that were stuck, I think.
Ex. Pally with a good wep, Drk with parry, Bis for most DPS.
Well except for WAR getting an even better weapon I guess.

As I told my friends, why is this a surprise? Every time the books came out, Crit was ALWAYS on the Raid tier weapons.

Crit for SCH isn't available for Raid Tier SCH Books (i210 Eso/i210 AlexS) and crit tops aren't an Option for SCH either. :c Hoping Void Ark/Diadem changes that. Please SE. Please.

Pretty much this. Always keep in mind that gear's stats are an alternative way for devs to fine tune the relative power of every job with respect to other jobs. SCH already is very desirable for savage...giving more crit would probably make it too powerful.

Spellspeed and deter is fine for me...
I don't like having à lot of crit anyway...
Sure it's cool and when adlo crit you just wet your pant, but it never crit when i need it the most so i don't rely on it XD

I like a lots of deter to have high physic heal

I thought crit was nerfed pretty heavily going into heavensward in value compared to determination and spellspeed now?

The i190 weapon had crit, it's not like they haven't put it in weapons at all since HW. Besides, SCH is in a good place as far as raiding goes.

No need on crit, more a huge boost
The more you have the biggest it is !

But with the 10 more level you just need more and more crit for it to be as efficient as before

By the end of 2.x weren't SCHs riding around a 30-35% Crit rate? I'd rather them nerf our crit rate by making Crit gear rarer, than them nerfing Adlo's crit bonus.

The crit rate was about 1% per 15 above 353.
Now it's 1% per 40 above 353.

With 1000 crit you can expect roughly 22% crit. And that's having pretty much every crit piece and crit food, on Summoner. Scholar doesn't have as many.

3 scholar books IN A ROW that don't have crit. Savage, ESO, and now thordon.

What's the point of horizontal progression when they completely ignore the best stat for a class? I seriously don't know how they managed to not have crit on THREE DIFFERENT BOOKS. >_>

I know it has to be intentional at this point, like they are scared of giving us too much crit this early.

It is a little disheartening that SE are sending us SCH a message, to stop relying on crit. I could imagine that the devs have looked at both healing and DPS practices SCH have employed in 2.0. I am willing to hazard a guess that SCH could easily excel in both areas if our crit percentage was as "reliable" now as they were in 2.0.

I miss the Desire I had when 3.0 first came out and I had geared myself with hunts/beaten Bismark. That crit book drove me to madness to have it (Until I finally got it after 10 consecutive clears.) Now I see new books and I'm like... What's my goal again?...(Yes I upgraded with Eso, but only because the WD was enough to make up for it) Crit is Synonymous with many SCH's sense of fun. Nothing is more satisfying than a Crit Adlo Spread. @.@

I say crit complaining and switch to AST :)

I still love SCH, just gearing it doesn't give that warm fuzzy feeling. xD

I'll be honest, I'm a little confused as to their though processes when it comes to SCH. Emergency and Deployment Tactics are fantastic and Indomitibility is one of the greatest things ever, and I even like the lustrate change now that I've been able to use it to save non-tanks, so they're obviously giving the class a lot of good thought. However....

1) Not only is there no crit on any weapon past Hive, there are no armor pieces with both crit and det in the entire eso and gordian set lines. Piety is an ok filler, but no crit/det piece anywhere?
2) SCH questline has us being trained as a soldier by a tonberry. Very little class lore other than a space-flea boss fight at the end, and nothing on the fairy (who doesn't even show up until the end, and gains nothing new anyway).
3) Our class title is "Nymian Marine". Because that's what I think of when I think of being a SCH.
4) The SCH esoteric set... Seriously what is going on with it? You've got feathers on your shoulders, notebooks spread around as if they were armor plating, a giant hand-lamp affixed to the back with a massive power cable, a very ostentatious top hat with... gears?... or something on it, and finally a super-short skirt and super-high knee socks in a pair of casual hightop boots for shoes. I feel like a hobo. >_>
5) Dissipation. The cost is typically too great for the benefit.
6) If we're being trained by tonberries, where's my instant-kill throat-stab?!

You can still stack a fair amount of crit without it being on the weapon/chest. Seeing as we can now deploy Adlos, I can kind of see why our crit was nerfed. I get lucky with it sometimes in Savage raids, and when it's strong enough to make certain hard hitting raid wide mechanics obsolete, it is a little OP!

I agree with the Dissipation comment. It can be used for DPS, and I have saved a wipe 'once' by using it for emergency burst healing, but it's just too situational to use outside of an opening rotation.

Currently if you want to have a pretty good crit/det pièce (except Eapon)
You need to burn some lalafel to RNGesus before running diademe

I agree that dissipation cost is huge... And there is not so many situation where you can kill your faire for the boost and wait for it to come back for the next mechanics
I can see it fit during the last phase of A2S when only DPS matter

And I'm thinking about using it on thordan
EoS 20% healing + dissipation = adlo crit around 5300 (for my currently stuff)
and a 10k shield is pretty XD

I have 710 crit on my SCH without crit on my weapon right now... and I don't see any difference as when I has 500ish crit

Now that adlo can be spread, more crit would make sch even more broken than it currently is.

They totally want SCH as sub DPS, like on Thordan EX lol.
