Good stuff, like the price changes on low leve gear too!
This patch is good, i just wished they raised the Grand Company Seal rewards for leves.
Good Bye PL Q.Q Now it's time for me to make a whole separate thread on how they intend on fixing another current problem with with leveling
No more power levelling - thank GOD
Power leveling isn't going anywhere.
It's just going to change its shape at best.
good stuff about action bar saving, finaly no more making macros for actions. PL will still happen but i just assume slower progress, i guess that's good
Powerleveling isn't gone but it's a great deal more inconvenient and slow than it was previously lol. The person or group being powerleveled must now engage the enemy first and survive the encounter. This means you can't take as many links at the same time and getting the same amount down as before may be a slower process. So yeah, not gone but slower.
and someone in my server is opening a PL service..with fee of 250k...... what a joke
I think gaining experience points is overpowered as currently im at work, and not able to gain them, so no one else should be able.
See, I just put a whole plate of my crap onto yours! :)
Also do we really need 2 threads on this, as well as the announcement, on, you know, the same website this forum is on?
Man people must really like the feeling of getting their posts thumbed.
Hopefully OP, you will get a good thumbing from this.
•[dev1203] Actions and abilities set to the action bar are now saved when changing classes.
Hell yes.
Ya but would powerlevel and party exp still be slow enough so it would take you 2-3month to get 50 it seem they did not fix that part lol. So it seem i still can get 1-40 within 3-4 days of partying for over 7+ hours per day.
Are people still actually complaining lol. You got your way, move on, jeez people don't just want to attend the wedding, they want to make out with the bride and eat all the cake too.
First do you ever shut up about other who complain? or are you here on the forums just to do that? The forums are here to complain and talk about our views.Listen he said it should take 2-3month for someone to get 50 it does not seem like the case. I can care less anyways just saying why that was not fix but ya at least the over broken Powerlevel would be fix.
Not to be rude but come on if you can complain then other can too and i'm not even complain i just saying if he want someone to take 2-3month to get 50 and it took me 5days of hard grinding how does that fit in with 2-3month even if i was partying more then a casual that still too quick but whatever i don't mind i just asking if his views change or he fixing that later.
Best. Lettered patch. Ever. Thank you, SE. The speed at which this has come out after the main patch is also really impressive. And guys, please take your stupid PL bickering to one of the dozen or so threads dedicated to bickering about PL. Thanks!
Yeh but 1-40 is only 50% so not much really. Xd
And the pt of low levels attacking a mob? Be kind of hard, it prevents AFKing like i mentioned, but if a low lv attacks a mob too high they will probably die unless the lv 50 is quick, the low lv must be able to sustain at least 1 attack tho.
I guess one-button crafting is working as intended.
Thank Jeebus for this patch.
Lowbie gear finally being affordable? This will help new players get acclimated much easier(although I think they're adding too many shop NPCs personally) and take the pressure of creating low-level gear off the crafters. Hurray.
Actions finally saving? The game is now one step more playable.
Wonder what new monsters have been added(unless they're just more sub-type palette swaps).
Yay on the saved actions! Instead of five macros for the class, I can save on two macros worth (two to set up abilities that will never get swapped out, the other three to set up abilities based on role (DPS, Tank, Solo)).
And if similar leveled parties are unaffected, great also! Viva la partae that works together, lives together!
edit: Affordable low level gear?! YES!!! And I'm not just saying that because I questioned who was buying the 1000 gil priced low level items in the wards.
Neat on the sheep. On a more selfish note, I hope the boars in Coerthas drop hides. That one spot in Treespeak made for good leveling at the time and served to fuel my leatherworking with aggressive melee-oriented mobs. But competing with a level 50 for it was less than fun.
om12 that'll be the day of funness *thinks endearingly of Dungeon Fighter when the Captcha showed up during a boss fight*
Patch 1.19b [dev1024] An issue where the CAPTCHA required to perform synthesis would trigger the User Account Control dialog box and result in an "Unable to detect DirectX device" error has now been fixed for Windows XP users. Windows XP users will now receive this error message too.
That all depends on what kind of player Yoshi meant when he said 2-3 months.
It currently takes 1,781,150 exp total to get one class to 50. If a player played only one hour a day for 75 days (two and a half months) they'd need only just under 24k a day to cap one class.
So in other words, if a player can make at least 24k an hour, it'll take them 75 hours to reach cap. Which is about the rate I've seen for a standard party in the 20s and 30s.
The 2-3 months statement was sort of ambiguous because we don't know who Yoshi expects to take that long, but it's been mentioned a lot lately.
I don't understand why mob hp and stats got nerfed 1-15.
Completely baffling. Now I don't even get to use any WS's on them before they just fall dead when I breath in their general direction.
The current balance just felt good. Not too slow kills, not too fast, some chaining was possible but not indefinitely. Fighting mobs 1-2 levels higher was feasible but not without its risks. When duoing I actually managed to get a spell or two off.
Leveling 1-10 was slower in Rift than in this game.
[dev6969] An issue where crafters were complaining of it only taking one button to craft has now been addressed, instead it now requires you to answer randomly generated algebraic equations each time you wish to use Wait, Rapid Synthesis, Careful Synthesis and Normal Synthesis.
[dev6970] The icon for Mage Armor has been changed.
wait, so based on this it seems like we might still be able to PL quite easily:
Can anyone explain this to me? Before 1.19, we were able to have a level 50 and a level 1 in the same party. Then if we fought level 10 mobs, the level 50 char got no exp but the level 1 chars would. Is that still the case? Or is it more like if the level 50 gets normal exp, the level 1 will get none?Quote:
An issue wherein the amount of EXP yielded was not adjusted properly when low- and high-level players were grouped together.
The patch is not live yet. I don't think anyone can explain how the changes were done exactly, only speculate. ^^;
PL'in will continue as Yoshida still feels its ok to do it. Different, but will continue.
Good to see changes and fixes done quickly. Good job Dev Team.
Basically exp will begin to degrade if members are outside the optimum range (+/-5 levels?)
So now, as it was originally intended, a rank 50 in a party with anyone pretty much under 40 will cause no one to get exp. Meaning PLing must be done from outside the party now.
What I mean is, I don't understand exactly what is being changed. It seems there is a bug of sorts that was introduced in 1.19 wherein you could have a level 50 and a level 40 in a party and if you fought properly ranked mobs for the level 50, the level 40 actually got more exp then the level 50. But, previous to 1.19 if two players one level 50 and one level 1 were in the same party and you fought mobs at level 10 to 15ish, the level 50 obviously got no exp, but the level 1 would get normal exp but at an alarming rate because the level 50 could oneshot everything. It sounds to me like the latter is still very possible.
What I'm getting at is that it seems like they are not addressing PLing as it was pre 1.19, and instead are addressing a bug from 1.19. Does that sound right?
