It's stuff left over from the main one like the Ixali stronghold.
And yes, this should fix the matter of the PL being inside the party. Now they'll have to kill from outside the party.
So, few weeks until patch 1.19b and the monthly "omgz y is dis so small patch wtf" bitching.
I'm happy we'll finally get the ability to save our skill set-up upon switching classes!:D
hmm finally Fixing the Action Class set! ooooh yea! no comment on the PLving thinggie. It just a nerf i heard.
they said 1.19a will also include the ability to save your action bars because it missed the 1.19 deadline.
HOLY SHIT GUYS ACTION BARS :D
::edit::
beaten to the punch ;_;
Wooo Ishgard! Can't wait to level my Archon tonight, think I will spend some time in my Mog House too, setting out furniture, and then nip on over to the auction house, pick up some stuff from my alt, use the mailbox, send it over and get to exping!
Well, if it's changed to where the PL can't be a member of the party, then it will effectively be a fix.
It's one thing if high level players can tag all the mobs and the lower level players don't have to be involved at all and still get xp for it.
It's another thing altogether if the lower level players have to tag the mobs first and then the high level player has to take them out. There's a definite delay between the mobs being tagged and the PL being able to kill them where things could go horribly wrong for the lower level players. They're certainly not going to be AOE'ing like some were.
In the current situation, the PL'ers can just go crazy killing everything that moves. After the revisions, if I understand it correctly, they won't be able to do that. So, keeping the area the lower level players are standing in clear of mobs will also become trickier.
If anything, it could/should bring the max level of what mobs are being fought down quite a lot. My guess is that it'll probably more resemble the situation in XI, where players are fighting mobs only several levels above them (like fighting Pugils at level 13 in Valkurm).. The xp will come more "steadily", but it won't be nearly as much as as it's been. And things can still go wrong even in those situations.
As you get into the higher levels, it'll slow down, as well, 'cause it's gonna start taking longer for even the higher level player to kill them.. And of course, after a time, a PL'er would be superfluous, 'cause they wouldn't be doing much more than the party members would themselves. So a form of diminishing returns will probably start to kick in.
It wont' be eliminating PL'ing... but it'll be seriously putting a cap on it.
Couldn't I still just War Drum the mobs, have the low level do an AoE to tag them, then I just kill them?
Also the action-bar thing sounds awesome!
Can I hear a yay?Quote:
[dev1203] Actions and abilities set to the action bar are now saved when changing classes.
When changing to a class for which action bar settings have been saved, those settings will automatically be loaded. Any recast timers in place will not be reset by changing classes.
As part of this feature, the below changes have been made:
Bar placement of weapon-specific actions (e.g., conjurer’s Spirit Dart) is now saved.
Bar placement of the Throw action is now saved. Throw may also be overwritten by other actions and unequipped from the action bar. If saved, Throw appears even when changing classes with no throwing weapon equipped. If the Throw command is overwritten or removed from the action bar, equipping a throwing weapon will cause it to automatically be set to the first available slot.
The bar placement of the Stone Throw action is saved when changing to a Disciple of War or Magic class, but not when changing to a Disciple of the Land of Hand class.
If the patch consisted of this alone I would be more than happy, the rest is just a bonus. Can I have it now please?
Keep up the good work SE, I love you.
I think action bars are overpowered and should be nerfed, as they allow people to control their characters while AFK, which means while I sit here at work, other people are able to control their characters while I am not.
This is unacceptable and I find it an insult to those of us that have been PAYING for this game since the dawn of time. Those that started just after the third Triassic Era clearly have a huge advantage over us now, and as such, if this is not removed immediately, I will ride my space horse to Inaba, and begin pulling people into televisions.
Also it is possible that playing too much Persona 4 while drinking nothing but energy drinks has affected my fragile little mind in some wa..... OMG JUNES COMMERCIAL! YAYYYY!

KirA500 and Vahzl..... LMAO!!!!!!
Very funny
Oh MY god, I KNOW right?
ps PLing will NEVER go as YOSHI wants IT
This is NEVER something that they are GONNA be happy with. It's about them trying to GIVE us something, that YOU seem reluctant to accept. UP to this point there is very little we as players can do, but I will NEVER be one to say I am GONNA give it up, I LET them take advantage of me, YOU however seem happy to bring it DOWN to the basic facts.
For some time now I have lamented the fact that major issues are overlooked while many
unnecessary changes come to devs for consideration. Server issues, Client problems, customer
care are major issues the community has brought to the table, but the developers just
kicks the can down the alley.
Yet another dev year has come and gone without the major rehauls the community
overwhelmingly deserve. In light of this, and after careful consideration, I believe it is
unnecessary to keep this game alive.
Sincerely,
Entitled player.
My feedback is much more subtle. +1 internet to anyone who gets it.
And -1 to anyone who took it seriously.
