What are your plans with "A Knight to Remember?"

Since it's obviously a Haurchefant portait, I'm putting it above my hot tub.

First I will continue to save my money so that 45 days after the housing reclamation program has started, a house will be available for me to buy. Then, I shall buy a house. THEN, I shall decorate the house. THEN I shall realize that having a house doesn't actually serve any purpose for me since I'm in a FC that has it's own house. THEN I shall sit alone in my house, staring at the wall, thinking long and hard about why I even wanted a house in the first place. THEN I'll remember that I just wanted a personal house because it was one of my earliest goals in the game, simply because it was something to work towards.....

Oh right. The painting. Um. Maybe I'll find a place for it in a corner somewhere?

make a memorial shrine for hauchefant. After actually reading his dialog (i used to skip it thinking he was just another rude elf with a chip on his shoulder) I'm somewhat upset SE killed him off, i play female characters and the way this guy spoke it was like, he tries to romance your character. Being inspired by our character and almost becoming flirtaous in admiration.'

hell he goes out of his way to help your charactere.... like going against the supposed inquisitor full well knowing what it meant. To taking that energised spear which ended his life simply asking for your character to smile as his final wish. That still gets me....

It will be probably the only wallmounted portrait in my FC house for a while. I still don't know if we should put it in the main room, like above the fireplace or in a more intimate place..

Gonna be collecting dust in one of my retainers' backpack. Like all the seasonal furnitures so far. I mean it would be nice to be able to use them, y'know.....

I'm actually very saddened that they killed Lady Iceheart off they way they did. I hated her at first then really grew to like her. Makes me /cry every time I see her ending.

Well the leader of my FC isn't level 60 yet. Just as 3.0 came out RL stuff happened ... he is 56 but can only log ones every 3-4 weeks for a few hours. Doesn't mean he doesn't enjoy the game. just RL is more important.

It's probably worth mentioning that in the Japanese version he very blatantly has a crush on your character. The English version actually toned this way down, making it more subtle and implied. Here is where you can read translations of some of his 2.x JP dialogue for comparison.

On topic, I could care less about the portrait. I just want the minion. The minion just feels like its a more appropriate reminder of him then a portrait, especially since its no secret many players wouldn't be able to make proper use of the portrait anyway. (Myself included.)

If have a portrait of Kan-E Senna on the wall directly opposite of the foot of my bed, so that when I lay down, I have a perfect view of her. For exactly the same reasons implied in this thread.

It has nothing to do with your character's gender. I play male characters and he spoke the same to me. People can have feelings for the same gender you know. :rolleyes:

I own a small house and I have no free wall for him to hang on. Crap that means I have to lose my sleep and think over and over again what to dispose in order to make room for him. The struggle for small house owners is real.....

I already made a memorial shrine for him 2 months ago... I've been using a painting of Hildibrand in the meantime though.

He tries to romance the men too, though it's toned down in the english version from what I've heard. He's pretty much adventurer-sexual and the Warrior of Light is at the top of his list regardless of race/gender
