I know a lot of players hate the cash shop but the moogle cap is soooo cute I must have it. >_<
Which cap do you mean?
You probably don't mean post moogle hat, right?
EDIT: Oh, I see now, nevermind. :)
The preorder hat, I didn't even know it existed.
I like to collect all the stuff (that's why I am glad I could upgrade to digital collector's) but I think it would be a bit unfair to people who preordered.
Join Scientology today, we are hiring, many positions! Best job bro.
Yes it does exist and is adorable. ;_;
i had it for a while it cute. They could just make a replica and put it in the GS or make a new series of post mog quests. Idm if ppl have it, just no...... no more cash shop.
I didnt think of the moogle quests, that would be kool.
No Cash-Shop! Yuck!
I'd rather see it available in-game through the Gold Saucer or Delivery Moogle Quest line. Gold Saucer has so much potential for glamour prizes. I really don't understand why people think to build cash-shop first rather than actually add content to the game..
Moogle Cap is a perorder bonus and was given to those who placed their faith in a game by preordering before reviews were released. It is just like the Faithful Legacy players who still put their faith into the game after the original FF14 failed them.
If SE put any of these items on the cash shop or in game I would be devastated on their betrayal to those fans who trusted them back then.
I don't see where adding it to the game with a slightly different color palette would be a problem, but imo the original should remain exclusive.
It was a pre-order bonus for 2.0, not 1.0.

Idk about ya but the R-A-F Friendship Feather blows the Moogle Hat/Onion Helm out of the water.
Yes.
The items are not important. It is the meaning behind them. We took our faith and put it into a game that could be good or bad. FF14 ARR, like its predecessor could have been terrible and buggy. We had no proper review on how the game was overall. We had some stuff from the BETA, but not enough on end game content to firmly say, "This game is X/10". It is a symbol of trust between the company and the player. Taking those items and selling them on the cash shops ruins that meaning and insults those players who took that risk and placed their faith in FF14ARR. This also is a good reason why Legacy players get a crap load of stuff and honorable mention, because they put their 100% faith into a game again after the huge failure from ff14.
I don't know about you, but I played Beta and had enough opinion of the game to make an educated choice whether it was worth purchasing or not, I didn't just blindly "put faith" into anything, I saw what the game offered and I chose that it was worth pre-ordering, I'm not even disagreeing that it would *kind of* suck to have the items put in for everyone, I jut think it's a little far to be "devastated" by it, that's all
That was my point. Touting it as an "early adopter's perk" is laughable when you consider that people who had already been playing the game for a couple of years didn't get it. It was a bonus to get more early box sales of a re-release of a game many people already had and didn't need to purchase again.
They will probably do a Nomad cap instead at some point. My guess is next fan fest.
Yeah, the "early adopter's perk" isn't the right way to put it, it was strictly a pre-order bonus. Now, hate to be that person, but if the pre-order items were that important to a person ( those who were coming from 1.0), it was just a matter of coughing up the money for the re-release.
It does suck a bit, but that's how these things go sometimes. Overall I'd say that SE gave 1.0 players a pretty good deal for their loyalty (discounted pricing (for legacy), free ARR game, letting us keep our characters, etc. ).
There are no pomotion gears in the cash shop. i doubt that SE will start with it. They will lose money from future promotion items .
Yeah I like to keep my pre order items as pre order items only. I pre ordered LBP2 and had some Free DLC that came out a few months later. Didn't really make that pre order special any more.
