Question about BLM stats

I am working on my BLM atm and i found several posts that saying about Spell speed and CRIT .

i like SS but i ve read that SS has been nerfed.

so what stat is better for BLM atm?

Another question is until lvl 60 , just any items which higher ilvl gear is just fine?

Yeah while leveling don't worry about itemization for the most part, just keep getting higher ilvl until you hit level cap.

Like slappah said don't worry about stuff until level 60

About the Blm stat... It's really hard because it's the DPS (with now the summoner) which need everything !
So you can have a lot of ss, crit or deter everything will be good !

And SS have not been nerf... Only boost

I like a crit ss Blm personnaly (quick and can be deadly)
Crit deter (slow but big number)
Deter ss (quick and steady, no big number but more constant)

Only depend of your play style

The biggest thing Blm needs to overcome is the ability to cast fast because the second you sneeze and have to move, the entire spell is null and void. Personally, I go with SS, although the current gear choices leave you to simply taking what you can get until the next relic comes out. There used to be a thing for your relic where you can put certain stats on it, that's where the push for certain skills came into play.

I look at it like this, SS let you hit fast, get through the spell faster, and gives you that half a second to get the spell off before you have to move. It's also constant, unlike Crit, which hits whenever it feels like it, and determination just increases your overall damage. If you're deciding to do the zeta relic, I would suggest SS and Det, or SS and Crit. Otherwise, just push to 60 and get your OP gear.

Rotation at 60 can be quite tight, getting everything off and refreshing Enoch before it falls off. Higher SS makes it a bit more forgiving.

All secondary stats are useful though

A higher ss make the 60 far more easier and mobile.

@ Lvl 60 you definitely want Spell Speed.

The value of DET and Crit are the same until over +400 at which point Crit pulls away, (exponential gains VS linear), but SPD is the highest until +1000

For BLM you absolutely positively want to get close to 2.4 GCD or lower, it's the highest priority sub-stat wise. It affords you much more leniency in proc choice and mobility and AF/Enochian upkeep. In fact, part of the reason so many BLMs bitch when they first get to level 60 is the GCD's close to 2.5 and it's way less lenient to do the rotations BLM is supposed to do.

Once you get to that point Spell Speed's still great but it's more for raw DPS at that point (unless you can get it really nice and high, but we don't really have that option right now) so once you're above 700~ Spell Speed go for whatever you want really, everything is very good.

It's leveling up that reduced the impact per point of Spell Speed (and other secondary stats as well), not a change to the stat itself. It's always been that way.

Before HW I was a fan of 2.3 GCD =D (that become 2.15 with the old Selenes <3)
You needed 546 ss for that...

But since i changes my main to AST/SCH I didn't look the new ss cap to achieve that
