But I do love some of those equip especially for DRG

The text says they chose three weapons at random to preview ;)

I see a strong improvement in MNK weapon design ^^

MNK weapon reminds me of Fallout's power glove (fist?).

mnk's weapon looks nice. It seems to become a pair of gauntlets now instead of claws, which is nice in my opinion.

I find these rather bland, as if Thordan himself was told to come up with them.

I like the aesthetics for these. That MNK weapon is particularly nice. High hopes for the designs on the rest! Would have been nice for them to preview a DoM job though.

Finally a decent looking punchy weapon for MNKs! It only took them a little over 2 years

wow, a non-spiked/ bladed MNK gloves!? Color me intrigued!

I actually like the weapons showcased thusfar, its so metal

Is it just me or does the spear look like something straight out of Kingdom Hearts?

I really hope they dont take this new design with all the MNK weaps, glove/gauntlet designs are horribly bland, wanna know the reason why there's not many glove designs? Because theres only so many different variations of a glove..

Not specifically, just that they have the same odd look with a ton of shapes. If you replaced the metal finish with a flat colored texture, it would definitely look like something the Organization XIII would use to be honest.

All we need is Zell's Ehrgeiz, then it wont matter anymore with what kind of weapon-design they try to torture us.

The pld sword doesn't look enough like the Ascalon, unless they actually give drk a weapon that looks more like it of course.

I'll take gloves/gauntlets over four-foot blades sticking out from each hand any day...

Nice to feel like I can punch something without breaking my wrists.

Personally, I'm a little disappointed with them them :/
He's to hoping the other roles weapons tickle me better

Just so you know the weapons which we are getting are ones which are wielded by the knights of the round if you look closely so you can get a decent idea of what weapon you may get.

When i was going through the promotional page for 3.1 i noticed one of the knights had the dragoon weapon (far right one you can only see a bit of the weapon) so i assumed some will based on some of their weapons. If its just dragoon then i feel little sad inside because everyone else got new designs and dragoon got re-sized boss weapon xD

You can see that same knight in the image below, and it seems like he has a different weapon. I think they may have created the new weapons and had the knights use them? Still a new design in that case.

Those are really boring.
Bring on the relic models.

They could have done the spear without the dumb looking hammer part and maybe made it longer.

I'm sure I speak for a lot of people when I say that they aren't boring. That you dislike them is irrelevant - they're pretty wonderfully designed and fit the theme of the bosses very well. I expected the new weapons to be very 'Knightly' and I'm not left disappointed.

Color me impressed... though I'm still on the fence till I see a bow or cane.

It could just be me, but they don't look "knightly" or "holy" in anyway. More like someone tried to make pretty weapons out of scrap metal.

Definitely agree. After the disappointment that was the AF2 Ninja weapon I'm a little down, it's just a slightly different Yoshimitsu, even its name is "Yukimitsu". I still haven't seen the Reactor NIN weapon so I'm a little hopeful, but if it's anything like these... Oh well, the Ravana weapons are amazing and I'll keep it glamoured in the meantime.

I think they said that if you can clear A1S, you should have no problems with Thordan. People downed A1S fairly easily without i200 weapons, no? Even then, you could use the tokens to buy weapons for another class.

I'm honestly loving that Monk weapon.

MNK weapon is a step up from what's come before it, but the best part of 3.1 is the option to glamour away your weapon altogether.

At least a few af2 weapons look reminiscent of the zeta. This is likely intended.
