i know it's an old topic but I'm trying to farm light for my Novus upgrade. If anyone else is doing so, please comment if you know where to find some decent light at. Please and thanks.

There are higher grades of light. WoD brought newborn star sometimes... but its an hour of time. In the time to reward spectrum HM primals were the way to go.

10-28-2015, 05:08 AMNutzBetter than bright requires much longer sorts of runs. 24 man raids give blinding (I think) with newborn star appearing rarely, and dungeons give a bit more than primals, but obviously primals are the way to go if you're just after light. Back when it was current, sure you'd be doing ST or WoD anyway and loads of dungeons so the light was almost extra (well...almost), but currently you'd be wasting your time on anything but HM primals, or possibly FATES.Quote:

Undersized dungeon parties would be ok to farm light if it gave decent light. I'd solo a low level dungeon for some newborn star light all day

The best thing is to farm those, fate are good but you need an area with a lot of fate... And sync is pain
If you already have a zodiac weapon the zodiac quest ask you so many dungeon that you get like... 1/3 of the light just to finish the quest XD
Otherwise just tag on trial that doesn't have a ohko

I don't understand why they kept books as a part or at lest cut off the ones for secondary stats. Because your going to replace those with custom stats anyway on the next step.

Under-sized light farming will be possible in the patch coming up, but in the meantime just keep an eye on this page for updates on when something is "in window" for the biggest Light bonus. There's another method to track light gain and windows, but you'll have to google those.

Your best bet is one of two things. Right now, the "highest" amount of light you are likely to get out of a duty that you can still que for is "Bright" to "Brilliant" out of any HM roulette dungeon (basically any dungeon at lvl 50). So, if you have a tank who also needs to light farm, just spam Hm roulette and it will give you the most bang for your buck, especially if you can speed run them.
Otherwise, Dps really only have one option: run N Than Fates while que'd for HM Garuda. Over and Over and Over again.
ST/WoD used to give out the highest (newborn star) but the odds of you quing for those is about the same as winning the lottery. So it's just a waste of time.
