I really hope they release every detail, and not holding anything at next live letter

I mean, at the time of next live letter, the patch its just 2 week after that, they better release every detail about the patch, anything.

especially anything beside Lord of verminion and island exporation, they already spend almost 1 hour at previous live letter explain about that two thing.

I want to know where they are heading with the Paladin and Astro, as those to jobs really need some adjustments.
A preview of the relic weapons would be awesome, too.

You mean images of the weapons not belonging to the 3.0 jobs?

The description makes it sound like most of it will be on Island Exploration and Lords of Verminion as well as a Q&A.

To be fair, they have probably shown us pretty much everything that isn't spoilery except maybe the relic models. I doubt they will go into detail on individual Jobs but they have mentioned they are looking at some small adjustments to PLD. Not sure about AST though. It seems in a reasonable place really after that last buff.

They never do until the day before with preliminary patch notes and even those aren't complete.

Not sure what you expect. haha.

What have people against surprises?

For the relic weapons I'm sure they just hold up a picture about them for 5 seconds.
And for the new dungeons and Ark I don't expect more than a trailer. We know already every non-spoiling detail from previous dungeons and CT. Maybe some infos about expert roulette.

For details about skill buffs and nerfs you have to wait until the patch notes.

Well, we have no idea what trial related stuff is coming in 3.1. Both Singularity Reactor Extreme and Doomtrain have been thrown out there as possibilities, but as far as I'm aware, nothing has been confirmed. Consider that 2.X had only Chrysalis which was a complete surprise, and that each patch had a normal mode / extreme mode primal fight that was well advertised. Even the Gilgamesh and Ultros fights were teased in the promos from the previous patches. Knowing which boss is coming gets you pumped.

I really wouldn't mind hearing from the director that we WILL be encountering the Warring Triad during 3.X, or that there are more primals to be encountered in addition to Ravana and Bismarck.

In this day and age, where you can get any information (not always accurate ;) ) in the blink of an eye, people wants everything, now. err yesterday, my bad.

Trust me.. it's impossible to keep it a surprise, sadly. I've given up, but I'll still use the 'surprise' word, so eventually one day.. ;)

So I've just hit the hopeless moment in my life when I thought GF stood for "Guardian Force" and I'm wondering what a primal summon has to do with raising children. I'm not sure if I should hang myself or go play Final Fantasy 8.

I don't. I'm tired of coming into every patch with half the game already knowing everything. It's boring as hell.

I'd rather wait for the 3.1 trailer and get the hype from that.

Given the lack of a General Question thread I don't see them going very far off topic with this live letter, which is limited to gear, airships and minions.

I don't really think we should know everything about the patch in advance.
They are giving us more than enough info.

I'd mostly like to know the specifics on limitations for the island exploration content. Like if there is a time limit or max amount of chests or lockout of any kind.

I don't want spoilers of whats actually going on in the content, I don't really want to know what we will be fighting or gathering or even what the drops are specifically, just want to know the limitations.

And to be frank, this bugs me, for lack of a better word.

Feels they don't want to listen to their clients now.

Everyone has a question outside of vermin ion, explorat ion, and ITEMs.

We took one of these thread (pretty sure it's the Item one) and then we posted our general question there (not limited to only Items, mind you)

I cannot wait to see if they will answer some of them, or they will pick and choose, which would tell me they only care about what they are doing unless they lose money.

It would be twice that this FF14 to be on the edge and failing, they made it good from 1.0 to 2.0, now getting big head with 3.0, where people are.. getting bored again with copy-paste much (you can even see reusing bears with.. flowers on their face now >.< hey look! a new monster! yeah right, wonders what they are smoking..)

Let's wait and see how it goes. Still excited about the patch cause.. it's better than nothing, for now.

SE, we love this game, don't screw up again, please.

After such a long delay, telling all there is to tell to generate some measure of hype and counter the extended disappointment the game has been lately can't be a bad thing.

I don't care being a scrub that will learn while having the fun of discovery in the process ^^

Wiping is no big deal in this game; you don't lose anything, and that's lame. no one should be afraid of it.

I prefer to take my time (decent pace) to enjoy the content than to be done in 1 month and complain for 2 while waiting for the next patch.

Well they need to do something because to be quite honest.. I've been away for a month or two because of school and other responsibilities. I come back and the game 'feels' deader than it has ever been.

I see other people on a regular basis but only in the event (Halloween stuff) areas and in towns. Out in the woods there's nothing going on. That usually spells the beginning of a downward spiral for an MMO.

There's been plenty of suggestions on these forums that are legitimately solid, feasible ideas to liven this game up. SE needs to start listening or they're going to end up finding 3.0 in the same boat 1.0 was in.
