Okay so far Gardening seems to be one of the few things that is left untouched in HW I have an idea to fix that
In FFXII there were also several varieties of mandragora. The basic one (already in game, same model as XII and all) The Wild Onion, the Pumpkin Head, the Deadly Nightshade, and the Auraune. In addition they also have palette swappes (Mandragora Prince, Onion Queen, Pumpkin Star, Topstalk and Auraune King, respectively. Deadly Nightshade also has another counterpart, the Rouge Tomato) I think it would be nice to have these as minions.
as for their relation to Gardening and Heavenwards. I suggest there be New seeds that can be crossbred with other seeds (The Mandrake, Pumpkin, Onion, and Tomato seeds, or in the case of the Onions, Mandragora Prince, Auraunes and Topstalks, with the seeds for the Tomato King, Mandragora Queen, and Onion Prince seeds) hese seed would involve a new variety of mandrake that would be useful in Alchemy recipies and seeds for items for new food. Both being found in 51-60 BOT nodes
The Rouge tomato one would be an achievement thing for getting all the other minions or maybe an equivalent to the Kidragora.

I would love some new additions to gardening, but I think that we've already got enough Mandragora minions out there. I loved the FFXII Mandragoras, but I feel that the Hildibrand Mandragoras are a good enough shout out to them and we don't need the originals in the game. I won't complain if we do get them though. It would be nice if all of them are put together, they start running around and spinning around and going crazy like they do in the fights you do with them in XII and in XIV.
However apart from mandragoras, I would like some different types of minions to come out of new gardening additions. Maybe a type of plant that hunts bee's by attracting them with a nice scent. Once the plant is ready to be harvested, it has a bee wriggling around inside the plants mouth as it's stuck. So just like normal gardening, but once they are ready for harvest instead of harvesting a normal plant you are freeing the bee that got caught by the planet you raised, and to show it's appreciation from being freed from the plant, the bee becomes a loyal minion for us. -

I have said before that I'd like a oversized Stinging sophie style bee mount ( I don't know how you'd explain that) but yes to the bee rescue! a little swarm of bees would make a cute minion also. :3 As long as they don't give you the Animal Crossing treatment.
