Any plans for a 2nd house for FC? Or maybe housing upgrade?

Hi, I've been wondering if SE is making plans for FCs to own a maximum of 2 housings? Or maybe a way to upgrade to a larger house?

Our FC's grown, and would like to upgrade to a Large House to serve as a new HQ. But we've already invested a lot of furnitures and crafts on our current medium house, so to demolish it is a no for us.

Housing Transfer is coming in a patch or two. That should enable your FC to upgrade, although I think they've described the feature more for FCs that want to move their existing houses to other wards.

While a lot of people might get angry that FCs like yours want to buy different houses while many FCs remain homeless, with irreplaceable furniture and airship exploration, they really need to implement this feature soon. FCs literally lose months of airship progress if they demolish a house at the moment.

Official word was that housing transfers will be implemented BEFORE new housing wards are added. Not sure when that will be though.

EDIT: See, I had a feeling no one would read WHY the OP was asking for two houses, and that everyone would get upset. He is not trying to be greedy, he simply wants a different plot without losing irreplaceable work that his FC has done.

There's no way SE is going to allow an FC to own two houses, the lack of housing is bad enough as is.

They need to fix personal housing before they allow a second FC house. For crap's sake, they need to make 1 personal house per account.

I hope SE doesn't ruin housing any further until they make this a reality. At the moment, it's unfair on new players or those who were simply not fast enough to even get their first house around patch release. New wards haven't been implemented since last year which means we have a lot of players who are waiting patiently to get and probably holding millions in the hope the next patch will get them their first. From what I've seen, I don't think they've even considered adding any more wards just the possibility of getting rid of inactive. >.<

I will be very disappointed in SE if they consider 2nd housing. O.O

Some FC's can't even get one house because of the lack of plots. This would be very unfair.

They haven't added new plots in over a year, it feels like. They need to address that before anything else really.

Yes, I do feel a housing upgrade is a more logical approach. One major thing that is keeping us from buying a Large plot from other inactive FC are because of the unique furnitures and our airships. Don't really want to spend the gil and time for those all over again

I dunno why anyone would be getting mad about an FC wanting to upgrade. If they upgrade to a Large, that leaves a Small or Medium (whichever they happen to already have) open for someone else to buy. Losing furniture items is the whole reason I haven't upgraded my personal house from a Small or upgraded our Free Company house from a Medium. I don't want to lose the furnishings. :c

As for an FC being able to own a second house, there's absolutely no reason for it.

Furnishings you can't retrieve from the property was the stupidest idea they've come up with anyway, right behind allowing alts to buy houses.

Housing should be done in the way airships must be done, meaning they have to be built, either by the player or contracted out to players who can build housing. Simply saving x amount if Gil and buying it before someone else is going to constantly result in the current mess of a housing market we have now. If something that is of limited supply is easily accessible by only 5% of the population that leaves 95% of the community to sit around and wait for round 3 of the housing purge. But if it made out to be a actual interactive part of the game that requires different crafting classes to be leveled to a extent then not only does crafting classes become more relevant, it stops people from putting down a plot and walking away taking away something some one else could utilize.

G.G. (get Gil) in preparation. Was all my FC had to do. Actually I bought a house with my previous FC, it dissolved so I joined another FC that was also easily able to buy a house. I've never understood why so many people have had issues with this. Waiting for devaluation can't be done, as FCs with more drive just made more Gil to buy em when 1st implemented. Housing, like most everything else, favors the early bird.

To hell with allowing people to get greedy and have two FC Houses they need to add a tool for kicking inactive fc's and people with personal houses off their plots if they're gone for too long that'll help free up space. As for those who want a new house but dont wanna give up they're stuff like furniture or airship....well your just gonna have to deside which you want more larger house/new residental area ward or your furniture/airship.

If they use the space and are large, that is far from being greedy. No need to be rude~ Yes, SE needs to make housing more accessible, they need to do something about the lack of land~ But to call people greedy for using the space?

SE is implementing ways to move stuff around and to kick inactive players, there is focus on it, so don't act as if there isn't.

There's nothing greedy about owning a large plot, but to own two plots? Yes, that is greedy when there's such a limited supply, like it or not.

Why do you need two houses? There not even enough houses for everyone to have one house.

Because there's no wya to currently upgrade if you've spend a millions of gil and plenty of time on airships for example. Or inexplicably unmoveable furnishings. It looks like he'd prefer the option to upgrade but knowing SE it might just be "hey its easier to let you buy two!" It seems insane I know but.. personal housing!

I am all for instanced housing if they'd just do it. if it were instanced you could build or expand your property in a way the current housing just wont allow for. Housing needs a huge over haul.
