Eternal bond plans?

Would like some help and information please, I have the free bonding ceremony, my partner has the platinum. We completed the entire ceremony and everything. and find out that my partner did not receive any of the platinum items? I know the ceremony takes the lesser plan, but does that affect the items? I know I don;t get any being that I was the free plan. but I don't understand why they did not receive them. any information would be appreciated! thank!

It does more than take the lessor plan, it converts both into the lessor plan. Even though your partner had the platinum bracelet, when you proceeded with the quest, their plan also got converted from platinum to free.

Because it takes the lesser plan, your partner won't be able to get the items that are platinum only. So if they want those items when you get married, you'll have to get a platinum band yourself.

Sadly they can't get them now

So both people have to pay for the platinum? If one doesn't get it the other is screwed? Sounds like a pretty crappy setup design in the game. o.O

Yep, you can gift the platinum plan to your partner if they're unable to purchase it for whatever reason though.

Well yeah, otherwise you could basically cheese it with 1 platinum and 1 free if only one person actually wanted the items.

Let this be a lesson to all those getting wed in eternal matrimony, make sure both you AND your partner are using the same plan or one of you is going to be upset that they paid the extra.

Personally, I feel it's in poor taste to deny players the extra items which they've actually paid for when they're paired with a free player, though I do agree that both parties shouldn't have access to the same ceremony as two fully paid partners. This is why I ensured during my own wedding that we both had the same band.

Yeah this is basically a big middle finger from SE. One person is pretty much paying for nothing. They should get refunded at least.

Um, it's actually made crystal clear when you get your plans and embark of the path to bonding that you both need the same plan or it will default to the lower of the two. If you did not read the text, or paid no attention to the warnings then you've pretty much done this to yourselves. I believe you are warned several times of this, and SE was very upfront about it in all their information. I understand you are upset, but SE can only do so much, you have to take responsibility for your actions as well.

I don't see how that's the case at all because there's several warnings about it. It's hardly SE's fault if people don't read.

Thanks for the info. I already have all the items from my previous eternal bond. so I did not need the platinum but she kind of wanted the items. just kind of a pain tbh =/

I don't see why they don't just double the cost then to cover two people (or make it an option I guess? dunno I havn't touched it), because they are pretty much forcing it to be bought twice for 1 ceremony.
