Another crappy robe to glamour.. yay >.> I really wish they'd design some better clothes. Seriously, there's nothing wrong with branching out and new ideas. Sticking with this "robes only" is just... sickening.

As much as I love this game, I admit to tiring of the same old aesthetic.

I'd probably have really liked the look of the healer robe about a year ago, but by now I'm not really impressed despite what appears to be some nice detail.

"Appears to be" because the palette-swap is so dark that it obscures much, and the healer version is once again featured on a potato person. I know people lurv them their cute Lalas, but they make really shitty fashion models for showing off new designs, at least as far as every other race is concerned.

If you drag the image to its own tab, you'll get a much bigger version. Though on a lala... it does have some decent detail that can be seen.

Still falls under a generic archetype we already have enough options to fill retainers with though.

I think of it like dressing up Danny Devito in a designer suit and then visualizing how it might look on a person of more average proportions. Not impossible, but not ideal lol.

Robes can be plenty manly even by a somewhat stereotypically macho definition; they're just a harder sell as such when they come with frilly details, poofy sleeves, and fancy Southern lady sun hats as at least a few of them do.

Personally I want an armored robe that resembles the Heavy High Allagan Coat. Daystar kind of tried to be this, but came off as a strange sort of "Battle Pope" costume.

The sad news is that when robes are manly...

... tanks get em. That's probably the reason why we don't get plates on our summer dress.

I'd really like some leather caster armor myself or some kind of fur trim. Also, I'm not a huge fan of the showgirl skirts, but Japanese fashion is what it is.

It has that WoD feel. Nothing wrong with unisex gear but would be nice if they could come up with more gear like this

The nashira set looked good in males, too imo. :p

I'm not exactly excited about getting this new gear, either. Though to be fair, knowing the team is small it's just probably one person coming up with the designs and to be releasing so much gear in so little time I think they've done a good job. lol

I also like how the Au Ra conveniently doesn't wear any helmet so as not to show the horrible horn clipping. XD They probably designed the visor he's wearing taking Au Ras in mind, who knows. Sadly the horns were the reason I had to switch races. :( I like hats and hoodies.

Nah, robes with an open front are a thing in MMOs and still robes. Look at the rear and you can see the hem is ankle/floor length.

Yeah kinda disappointed. It feels like when designing healer gear there must be a check list somewhere they aren't allowed to deviate from for fear of being struck spontaneously blind.

White? Check
Big ugly hat? Check
Long robe? Check

Honestly it sorta looks like they took the esoteric robe and and added a bunch of bling and frills. I wish healers had at least a few pieces that looked more like what the model on the far right is wearing. Or just something that doesn't look like everything else we have. Why can't we have more gear like the old Battlemage set from Bray? I mean...healers are going into battle too. Can't we at least look the part sometimes? I'd also agree that lately the healer gear is tailored to female characters and is not flattering on males. Maybe that's why we are seeing it on a Lala and not one gender or the other from a race that actually has a shape. I'm all for lace etc on males so long as it is done well but this one looks like a cross between an eccentric art teacher and someones gran.

It makes me wish they'd do for healer gear what they did for hairstyles. Let us submit designs. In my opinion it could only be an improvement over what sets we've been getting and at the very least, it would hopefully be actually new and not a rehash.

Same here. The bottom is ok, but when you wear the top, the bottom gets extra unnecessary geometry..

You can have any color of WHM robes, so long as they are white.~

Where's the reverend mail to go with those aurum regis sollerets? SE got my hopes up for a decent glamour set when I saw those sollerets, but the rest of that tier is all cloth...

They could allow us to dye the gear. They won't though....

There are too many robes in general. Casters I can kinda buy, but why do bards and especially machinists get robes?
