Crafting supplies from retainer

I think that it would be helpful, if we could access our mats from the retainer, without having to go thru summoning and changing around items and stuff.

What if, while withing 10 yalms or w/e of the summoning bell, we can use any mats on any retainer without having to pull them off them.

So just by standing near a bell we can craft anything aslong as we have the mats near or on one of our retainers.

It would reduce a lil redundancy, and would make crafting a lil more enjoyable.

Just an idea.

Don't really know why they make us walk to a summoning bell... community perhaps? Isn't it worse on their 'server limitations' opposed to us accessing through one interface?

It would probably cause problems since that data for all retainers has to be loaded into memory to be used. We couldnt get extra space because of memory concerns with just one opened.

Rift has always had serious performance concerns even with a dwindling population. Great feature though!

In Ragnarok you have to go to a Kafra NPC.

We need to right click ingredient, search for item, open Retainer interface, request page 5, move item to inventory, clear interface, reload crafting interface and craft.

Rather than just launch each recipe with ingredient availability over all inventory.

Because it's easier on the servers this way.

I'm not certain, but I think that part may have to do with ensuring that the server isn't trying to process retainers and combat at the same time. By requiring us to go to a summoning bell, they can make sure we're not summoning them in an area where we (or others around us) could encounter enemies.

(The fact that there's a summoning bell in the inn room speaks against the community-building hypothesis about those bells.)

If people think the bells would get too crowded with needing to be within 10' of one, why not let us craft in our inn rooms and make the restriction be inn rooms and personal housing. Basically, when home you have your entire expanded inventory available.

But lately you can open kafra with item if you're on dungeon or field.
