Petition to bring back "The Rising" event sooner.

The event duration was too short and the rewards were too valuable to have missed. Some subscribers can't play weekly yet are members that deserve to witness the player appreciation event! I believe that these event rewards were some of the most valuable of all events and am remiss to think that I'll never access them, or at best, must wait an entire year.

This event "The Rising" I was unable to attend for uncontrollable circumstances and this caused me to miss some cutscenes, a couple minions, and most importantly, the "Concentration" card-match MINI GAME. I desire access to this content any way possible, even if I had to buy the MINI GAME / minions from mog station..

Attempting to access FFXIV out of state caused my account to be frozen during the event. It is upsetting that there wouldn't be another chance, or more time available for those that had similar situations yet all deserved to participate - especially those having been active members since 2.0 or earlier.

Stinks that you missed out, but there's always going to be someone who will missed on something. Square can't always accommodate every possible person that could have possibly missed an event. Just wait till next year.

They had no issue doing the lightning event, what, three times? It doesnt hurt to make a request, even the GM thinks its a viable thing to place feedback on, the thing that separates this from other events is that there was a mini game which is an entirely unique game function. If you think it stinks, you could always thumbs up the post to support the concept :)

I would love to have the event back where you can obtain the Tender Lamb minion. Or at least put it on Mog Station, or make it possible to get this minion with a quest in game...

January it will be on the Mog station. 1 year after the event, if past events are anything to go by.

That was to promote a game that couldn't sell itself not to accommodate people that missed it.

The Lightning event was not a FF XIV anniversary event.
Anniversary events always happen only during a very specific timeframe.

I was using that example as to show the ability to repeat events, these are not set-in-stone rules, why argue against it? They've also shown that event items can be made available on the mog station, so that is also always a possibility. The main point in this petition is that there was a unique game function awarded in the MINI GAME, and that it would be nice if that wasn't a one-time-only accessible thing.

The fact that it is specifically for an anniversary, though, prevents running it at other times of the year. I do, however, think things like the mini-game should be available from the event on a permanent basis now that it's been introduced, so anyone who missed this year's Rising can get it in next year's Rising event.

(I also think the Rising should last longer next time. It was a particularly short duration event.)

My sentiment's exactly Niwashi, I agree with everything you said. I also thought that is what the purpose of the Mog station purchases of previous items was, it could easily be worked out that way, since some merch. has been made available why not make it standard?

I don't mean to be the person that cries on about missing an event, normally I'd think its pretty lame, however, we're talking about acquiring a mini game, the house that I paid millions for is begging for use, and that game would bring me MUCH entertainment. I'd think they'd WANT their developments to be taken advantage of, so WHY NOT make this function accessible through other ways?

The thing is, no matter how long an event will run for, there will always be someone who for whatever reason will miss out, and in this case, you got the short straw. That's just a fact of life that you just have to accept. As has been said the Rising is a special event run to celebrate the launch date (August 27th) of the game, so there absolutely zero reason to have it at any other time in the year.

Just because some event items have been made available on the Mogstation for purchase after their events finished doesn't mean that is now a market for all event items - it seems the Mogstation only has event items from several years ago, including version 1.0. It's possible SE may add the Rising minions there along with the Concentration minigame (which to be honest is nothing amazing and truly worth writing home about, but whatever floats your boat), but they're under no obligation to do so.

Regardless the excuse people made that makes them can't attend "The Rising" event, it's useless to extend the event duration. It's their anniversary, we only celebrate it. Your chance only to wait until next year and not have an excuse again to not attend event again.

(Call me heartless, I already put my Flame Shield steady :p )

Because consistency is a nice thing to have.

I can see where you are coming from, that is why I propose the acquisition of the mini game through other means. It seems odd to me, to make such a unique in-game function, so limited-time-only. As lame as you may think the game is, it gives the toy box an essential facet of its use. I would just like to appreciate the developers work, I don't see the need to restrict access it seems like it should be simple enough to make it possible. Put it in another event, gained by manderville points, mog station, idc. I guess the topic was posed incorrectly, as I know its unlikely for an event to return, I just wanted another avenue to pursue in hopes to gain the minigame / minions.
