I haven't PLd nor do I think I ever will, but I support other's ability to choose to do so.
All I ask is that SE find a way to make crafting a little quicker and I'll be a happy camper.
Yeah lets get this baby to the hot thread section, everyone who thinks Pl rocks and Yoshi is sexy show your support wew!!!
lol,can neutral post here? I dont mind PLing or other ppl PLing, becoz I know what I must to do to have fun with this game, be it PL or not.
Neutrals can have a party with us in here weeeeewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww Aion good name and good opinion.
let crafters be in these battles!
brb powerleveling
Yeah FFXIV FTW <3
I enjoy being able to help my lower leveled friends that are returning because my dumb ass has everything in mid/high levels. Once they catch up to something I have I'm switching over to that.
There's been so many overlooked EXP exploits in each patch (dunes, etc), I think they just gave up on making class grind difficult. It was the right choice, really... unless you wanted the PS3 population lagging behind us for a year plus.
I don't personally encourage it but it doesn't bother me at all if others are doing it, i happen to not like poking other people's business and their view of 'fun' in a game.
There's so many other grinds in this game. To really be an effective player, one must level at least one craft, if not more, based on the class you leveled to participate in the materia system.
I see no problem with one minor "quick" experience.
yeah even at lv 50 most people will still exp to level up their items for breaking down into materia. Or at least a good bit, it will probably be good money selling high end materia
Not really gave up more like wised up. Thanks SE the games getting better with each patch keep it up~!
This is pretty desperate.
Lol so many people are mad. Anyways lets keep this thread positive ^_^)v.
I've gotten form 1-43 without powerlevelling, but I don't ever want to go through the level 20-35 grind ever again. I'm cool with power levelling.
I like it, i levelled 1-50 naturally, and bunch of others 10-20-30+
I dont wanna do it every single time. Done it once.
Agree with op.
It's good that I have my friend help me for level up ^^ lot quicker
Really? is this a joke? come on this should never be allow in a game when it just release and going to be release for real for ps3.
I feel honored that you are using my name, and even spelled it correctly.
Thank you.
But the only thing I can say in this thread is that I don't agree. :) Good luck!
who is gonna play Battlefield 3?
Power leveling is awesome because now when an LS member doesn't have a sub-ability that would be helpful to use for Ifrit/whatever they can go get it in a very reasonable amount of time. Power leveling has been in the game since the beginning, and especially so since they removed the requirement to hit a mob to get SP from it. It's never been against the rules, it's just a lot more accessible now. Thumbs up for turning PL into something anyone can help their friends with instead of the AFK-leveling or leve-exploiting shenanigans of the past.
I don't do it, don't encourage it but don't care if others do it. Just give me the option not to do it.
I like it, gives a nice option to players who have already done the grind before, and to me this is just the FFXIV version of Recruit a Friend, you know, that very same system that is in the current most popular and successful game of all time, and has been in that game for around 4 years.
Doesn't seem to have hurt the figures for that game much, but in FFXIV it seems to be the end of the universe for some.
You know what I did earlier, I stood in Ul'Dah not being power levelled, while a friend of mine was out in Nanawa getting power levelled. Oddly enough, it didn't affect me, you know why? Because it's none of my damn business how he plays his game :)
I love it and I help to others doing it. People think it's a big deal but it's not. I took out a level 1 character to test those fake theories getting 700-900 exp per kill in a lv 50 pt. WRONG. You get 500-700 exp by the correct corresponding mobs 10-15 and up depending on the mobs. Example, a lv 10 pt gaining exp from lv 20-29 mobs. My lv 1 job gained only 100-250 in an exp chain pt of 43-49 at camp broken water fighting those Pug type galka looking fellows.
So, for anyone to give fake info just to nerf this, it's not cheating, it's power leveling and it's legal. Recently, a player was kicked out of an Ls just because they felt it was wrong. As mentioned in the other forums, PL is the norm on XI in abys and I even took a look at that on youtube.
you don't have the option when it become main stream. That like saying i could go sam/war for partying in whitegate which i can't i be kick. No one going to party at my level range so A: I have to do leves B:Solo or C:powerlevel due to no one in the server partying later on.
Add a Recruit a Friend and level sync and exp band people still be doing the work and they still can help out there friends and they both be doing the work and not getting 50 within 1-3days. Remember yoshi-p said it should take someone 3 and half months to get max what happen to that? what he going back on his world now? Sorry powerlevel should not be allow like this.
In wow you can't powerlevel ppl can run you in dungeon but still take forever to get a level up and top of that once you do a lot you get kick out of dungeon for a while if i can remember i think it's 1hour.
Powerleveling isn't new. Everyone had the option to leve-link-abandon. Everyone had the option to AFK level. These things didn't stop people from leveling "normally". I know lots of people, myself included, who didn't partake in either of these. The difference now, and the apparent cause of outrage, is that power leveling has been taken out of the shadows and is no longer some kind of gimmick to perform. It also requires someone high level to assist you.
It is a large assumption to make to say that everyone (or even the majority of players) has a high level friend who wants to power level them the whole way. But even if this is true, why should we stop them? The entire point of making it like this was that high level people could help their friends level up faster.
If I told my friend about FF14 and encouraged him to play, and then told him he'd have to play for 3 months before he could really even do anything with me, how likely is it, do you think, that he'd go buy this game? Or am I supposed to create a new character and spend the next 3 months of MY life leveling up AGAIN every time I want someone to join the game?
it must be a nice friend that would PLing you from 1 to 50.....or maybe he just getting bored already becoz he has all class capped.
I support it...in XI you could go from 10-26 in less than 2 min. With this game, it takes longer. I support it.
My 1 Gil is worth more than your 1 Gil.
God, yes. PGL to 25 in two nights. I can actually enjoy the game content now while slowly taking other things up with my other friends, still without worrying about what the hell level everyone is as long as everyone's got XP rolling on in. It's glorious. This is the way games should be; some game developer finally understands.
Level grinding isn't content.
(I don't think I'd enjoy blitzing through an instanced dungeon, for example; I wish there were optional level caps on those, so that I could do them with my GLD36 friend, or with my PGL once I've passed level 25, without completely wrecking the world. However... just grinding out levels? Please, bring on the AoE spam and retardedly high xp/hour, I love it.)
Let me get all my classes to LVL 50 by this system then I start Bitching ^^ (NOT)
