They are experiencing some issues and their engineers are working on it (their standard response really...)

Apparently Bungie and Ubisoft are reporting problems with multiple services, not just PSn...

LOLConsoles.
Anyone who's not an idiot when it comes to computers can avoid viruses. Windows Defender will take care of most of them as long as the user's not stupid enough to disable it because it warned them that the file was a virus, but the person went through with it anyway. Windows has a lot of security, but I come across people far, far too often who disable their Firewalls and antivirus software for whatever reason.
But I'm really surprised people pay for PSN, or why they thought to make it a paid service anyway. The least they could have done is make it on par with XBL.
The PSN is having issues? Again? Maybe that explains why I'm suddenly having massive lag issues in the game. (PS4 player here)
And I see that the mere mention of this topic is already bringing in the PC VS Console wars. Never fails. :P
Except to do anything on XBL, you need(ed?) a subscription. You can play online without paying anything on PSN, but that isn't the case with XBL (unless they changed it since XB360)...
Fair points. These lag issues only started for me recently so I've been trying to find the cause of it. Still poking around for the main issue as of right now.
so make it so if you dont have an net connection, your arcade type game revert to demo versions, or are flat out unplayable? jumping to something else tho, the main difference people have between the two is what games force you to have the paid service for online things.
Yeah that's true, but I think the majority have moved to PS4 so they've lost their PS3 license.
I meant the ability to keep up the servers, I constantly hear complaints about them on these forums. Back when I owned a PS3 it went down for an entire month.
