Fellow players... It is without a doubt I love the patch release they have given us. I could go on all day except until many players became conflicted with the lack of requirements to even engage on the activity.
Take any materia of any example. You have a lv 25 leather craft. Say a boar satchel belt has a slot open for melding for that materia-X and the catalyst for it as well. But oh no... you can't attach materia because a message comes up as "Lv 44 leather craft required".
What the hell? I want to engage in materia system. But wait... now I want to level my craft. I CAN'T. Know why? Because the ward system I can't buy anything at a proper price of anything. Nearly everything has doubled or even trippled in price. Yes, I understand there's new recipes but not when low ranked crafted items are vastly available.
Gathering of any kind with the help of weekly leves every day, doesn't help. I'm stuck getting copper ores to silver ores and nothing higher than that.
What's the point in a materia system if you can't even engage in it let alone afford the investment?

Check the patch notes for where to find drops. (Btw, now a lvl 20 miner get 3 tries on grade 5 node, it is insane.)

So the problem is that you want to be a powerhouse that needs help of no one to do anything, but the game won't let you do that.
I'm sorry to tell you that's not how the game is set up. If you can't do it yourself, you find someone else to do it for you. -

The leves from the guild only offer 2 leves and 2 leves per leve to offer on leveling. Most craft leves offers random leves from 2-8. Just saying, slow pace or a big investment is needed.Quote:

At least initially. The game's economy has been in the dumpster for more than half a year... and a full restart is not an option. There are people with TONS of gil and until all the excess leaves the economy yeah, the system will not be so accessible to anyone else.
Gil has actual value now, and the value is dictated by how much money is in circulation. It's not representative of what value SE has set for gil initially in this new economy, so if you want to participate but aren't part of the population with tons of cash.. well, what you can do is try to get a piece of that pie. Like you said, everything seems to cost a fortune, and that can be either disadvantage... or an advantage. -

I'd say it would be nice to have the option (much like repair) where we can set items up for attachment, that way crafters can see the icon, and attach the Materia. And if the item is up for more then one piece attached then players would be notified of the risk and could then agree to the attempt before hand. :)
