Current Final Boss (*Spoilers*)

Has anyone actually died to Ultimate End? I'm talking about the very last part where King Thordan breaks the screen. Is it even possible for a party to get wiped by this?

The first time I did the fight both healers died from the ability he does before he zones the area out. As a result all of the dps died during his screen breaker, and only the 2 tanks were left alive to kill him.

Unless DPS is crap, I don't think so. You'd have to take forever and have Thordan build his Limit Break gauge up to full. I'd love to see how much it would do though.

I think, like Lahabrea from 2.0 before him, Thordan isn't really meant to kill you unless you mess up. It's a battle with almost every floor mechanic from the CT and flashy lights (and screen shattering, because screen shatters are the best), but it's not really hard.

The Laha/Ige pair is meant more as a final boss, difficulty-wise since in their second portion they have at least two separate party-wide instant kills they can use repeatedly if you don't meet the checks, rather than just the one. They're also tighter checks. Basically, I'd compare it to the Ultima Weapon fight from 2.0. If you can beat Ultima, Lahabrea is for sleeping through.

Plus, Ige uses some pretty obnoxious abilities when she starts flying around in the first part of the battle.

It'll only kill if you get their LB gauge to max; it increases with every mechanic you mess up, and decreases dramatically when you go through a mechanic with no mess ups.

I usually go blind from all the special effects before then so I can't really tell you what happens. I imagine the EX version will just be a flashing white screen.

Can't wait for the EX version where everyone will probably die to this for a good month or two

It would be neat if we get that as a extreme mode and it drops weapons.

I know dark knights would be happy to wield King Thordan's sword. :P But any other weapons in a sort of royal knight motif is something we haven't really had yet. I'd imagine they'd look pretty cool.

I can totally imagine that you have to kill all the knights as they appear in order to not die from that skill in EX.

Wouldn't it be hilarious if Flailing Thorton hits really hard EX? Hard enough to almost one shot something?

Singularity needs an HM and maybe EX modes, sort of minstrel ballad (most likely if it happens) or actual story (which I doubt).

The version we did at the end of the 3.0 story was HM. The only non-HM primals are the story trials under level 50.

But that is irrelevant, what I meant was the difficulty increase plus some loot preferbly vanity like minions and mounts.

All HMs are specifically just for story purposes now, no loot. EX is apparently coming, which will probably reward an i210 accessory or something.

Some part where all four dps are spirited away and have to fight a knight each 1 on 1

Hell yes, please this. Having an Ascalon would be amazing. But just more "knightly" armor in general would be welcome, especially if we can get some with an actual cape instead of all the butt capes/skirts. .-.

I derped and almost died as a i193 scholar the other night! Was dpsing my silly little heart out, and when the spreading circles came, I ran to the center.. tried to sit in the tiny little open space, but, then it spread more and I got hit by 3 overlapping circles. :( I'm surprised the same of being left with ~100 hp didn't finish me off.

Everyone else was fine though. A wipe would've been silly.

Omg I wish! The king Thordan fight is my favorite fight thus far, and having loot drop at the end would be an awesome bonus. SE make it happen....

I wish it was an actual un-avoidable scenic ultimate attack like Ravanas and other Primals. Instead the Ultimate is part of the mechanics. I wanna be knocked into the air and see them all rush at me 13x for 9,999 damage like FF7m if mechanics fail :(

I helped a couple FC mates through the fight and I, the lone warrior, was the only survivor at the end.
Thankfully it wasn't too bad to solo at that point.
