About our guild
Perhaps you have heard of us...

Death and Taxes was originally a WoW guild formed in 2004 by a group of players whose talent and dedication attracted the attention of many more. Our guild quickly rose to the top, achieving 14 World-Firsts and over 30 US-Firsts during Classic and Burning Crusade, while at the same time maintaining an extremely productive raid environment and multiple competitive PvP teams.

Since then, Death and Taxes has spread to many different games including Star Wars: The Old Republic, Guild Wars 2, Wildstar and Final Fantasy XIV. In each of these games, DnT strives to be as successful as possible by gathering as many skilled and competitive players under one roof to best the games content as quickly as possible.

If there is one thing that you should know about the core of our guild, it's that after years of experience being at the forefront of both raiding content and PvP across varying games, we know exactly what it takes to make a great team.

Who we are looking for

Death and Taxes is looking for players who have the following qualities:

Commitment. We are looking for players willing to persevere regardless of content difficulty. We expect punctuality and preparation from members on any given raid night. In addition, we want players that will accentuate the DnT community by participating in activities outside of the raid schedule.

Skill. We expect members to play competitively and master their respective classes. This includes independently tracking gameplay and mechanic modifications.

Social. We aim to preserve a communal guild that actively uses mumble. Familiarizing yourself with fellow DnT members is pertinent to maintaining this standard.

Raid positions currently open:

Team Anna

• WAR+ BRD/MCH A4S farm seeking WAR + BRD/MCH for weekly 1-4 savage clears.

Team SFA

• BRD/MCH or WHM A4S farm seeking BRD/MCH or WHM for weekly 1-4 savage clears.

Team Phoenix

• BRD/MCH + DRG/MNK Newly formed group for A4S progression. A3S clear or enrage exp preferred
  
  10:30 EST - 1 :30 EST Days to be determined based on availability of the two remaining dps.

Our Goals for Final Fantasy

The Final Fantasy XIV chapter of Death and Taxes has two primary goals:

One - competing at the highest level of progression raiding.

Two - fostering an environment of talented and like-minded individuals to succeed in all other aspects of the game.

To this end, Death and Taxes has multiple raid groups that require differing levels of commitment as well as a small subset of skilled social players.

A buddy of mine and I are considering a server transfer and would like to apply. We're currently on Siren which is where we started playing with our friends back at 2.0.

We'd like to apply to Team Scar. We're a Ninja and Monk. IRL friends, both been playing mmo's together for 15 years now. Tried your website, it's not working. Could we setup a time to speak on a discord channel for a few minutes?

How vital is the gameplay vid? Asking seeing since my friend's upload is a complete LOL-fest with his internet and that's the only thing he can't provide.

We usually reject applications we cannot fully evaluate unless the player is known by another member of DnT who can tell us about the person's performance in raid. It does not have to be his pov though.

I'm sorry but I just don't see your application in any of our folders. I spoke to the other officers and they say they never saw it. When you click on "Join DnT" does it tell you your application was submitted?

Hello there I am an old, and I do mean OLD (50 going on 20 lol), retired healer crossing over from WoW, just looking for a social invite, I am realy new to this game but an 8yr vet healer in WoW, and I do understand game and class mechanics all too well ;) just need a home to chill with some quality people.

Currently seeking DRK/PLD + WAR + BLM/SMN + SCH for various raiding positions.
