Hair style contest!!

SE please just add the winners and runner ups ♥ even if u gotta do it in sub-sequential patches!!

Yes! I really like the female #3 hairstyle, hope it gets added in the future.

Let's not assume that a runner-up would have been a winner (or even scored second place) had the winning style not been in the running. All the votes that went to the winner would have been distributed elsewhere, and not necessarily the #2 or #3 pick. For example, those votes could just as easily have been piled behind a different entry and knocked the #2 hairstyle further down the list.

Honestly, I would rather them just run another hairstyle contests and (this time) allow players to vote on who the finalists will be rather than letting someone at SE (instead of us) picking a bunch they personally like the best. From the ones that were selected last time to be finalists, it's very clear that individual or individuals has very different tastes from many on these forums.

This, if the winning female had not been there, my vote would have gone to the last runner up or the lala one.

Also, did SE not say that they would be adding other hairstyles of their own creation in 3.1 as well. I see a lot of people in other threads heaving big sighs and saying "...guess I'm stuck with my dreary old hairdoo..."

Or they could of just did it by total votes and not that last vote nonsense, that would probably have been a little better... But I'm all for what the OP is trying to do, not because I assume a runner up would of won if the winner hairstyle wasn't of been in the running but I think it'd be cool to have things like the samurai hairstyle for males and other hairstyles that seemed pretty popular. Also I reallyyyyyy wanted some of the runner up ones because I thought they were super pretty anyways. *cough*

*In the event that an entry other than the grand prize winner is deemed to be excellent, there is a possibility that it will be implemented in the future.

They're adding an Afro and the hair contest winner.

Well seeing as the two 1st runners-up were robbed of the win due to the "last Like" rule, I would support them being added too.

The big thing SE can take from this contest is USE A GOD BLESSED POLL.

That being said, I'd love to see what the runner up looks on my miqo'te and lalafell characters. :)

SE should get serious and replace the afro with the runner ups.

I highly doubt many people will use it seriously. I foresee a lot of people using it on the first day for lolz, then sporadically using it after for once again, lolz.

This is the biggest problem I had with the contest. It's an obvious (although apparently not) problem with the voting system and I don't know how no one caught it. It was always going to be heavily skewed towards the last-most entries. Everyone who didn't read the rules (which lets be honest, was probably over half) and voted for multiple options destroyed the honesty of the poll. The actual winner for the females saw a healthy lead in the beginning, but after SE clarified the rules the runner-up actually gained a huge lead. Plus who knows what un-liking/re-liking entries did. I don't know what would've been so bad about just going a "vote for all the ones you like" rule if they were going to do it this way.

Yeah they need to redo this as a poll, its sad how the whole thing turned out :(

It would be nice if the runner ups got placed into the Gold Saucer for 8000 mgp.

Aye it doesn't help that the 'votes' kinda feel like just random numbers that square decided upon.

I'm pretty sure the second place hairstyles are the actual winners. Don't get me wrong, I love both the first and second place female hairstyles! I'm excited to get either... but the rules tripped up quite a few people and I'm not sure everyone (not just English speakers) caught on.
