Seriously. I can't queue for anything with them out, which knocks out a HUGE chunk of content and really makes them incredibly frustrating when I want to both level my character and level my chocobo.
And then today I found out you can't even summon a minion with your chocobo out???
What did SE have against people doing things other than mindless FATE spams or mob grinds when they were designing the companion system?!

It takes years to level a Chocobo too and I do mean years. Been here since 2.0 and my little guy is like level 3...
and I had him a lot of the times in 3.0 grind.
I wish we could level them with while FATE grinding with other people that's what killing him to level.
EDIT: I'd also like to mention that during the grind to 60, I had my Chocobo out with me in EVERY quest that I done in the HW expac
and he was halfway to his next level then at the tail end he finally level'd.
I am not sure how anyone level's them to max... -

Train when you log in, when you log out and once or twice in between, and combined with the challenge log you get a level every fortnight. -

Server blablabla memory issue. I reckon SE needs to take care of that first, since alot of things are not possible, because of this issue:
- More inventory
- HUD changes
- Content like the Primals being in the open-world
- Character customization (this is why Au Ra can not swap horns)
- Probaly more stuff that SE had to scrap, because of the server memory thingy.
I dont know if this is, because of the PS3 or something else, but aslong as this issue is still there, we will never get a true FFXIV game and only the bare minimum. -

For you I would recommend doing the weekly challenge log and feeding it krakka/whatever is your cheapest exp food on Goblin server when stabled provided you have access to a stable.
Also you could make a PF for a combination Chocobo/Class leveling if you really want to grind it.
I hope in the future we will have more features for our companions. Wasn't there something about going into dungeons with Chocobos a while back?

For example, if I have my chocobo out, my husband is unable to invite me to a party, because the game thinks I am "already in a party". This is a huge design mistake, but I don't think it has anything to do with memory limitations. Just a massively short-sighted coding decision that they really need to fix ASAP. It's not okay when you have game systems that conflict so horribly with each other.Quote:

Someone in their next interview with Yoshida/SE ought to ask them when they are going to address memory issues and how and/or upgrade whatever hardware it is they need to instead of "can we have x content" or "is it possible to do x"

When fate grinding I usually start my own PF with my choco summoned, and I don't withdraw it til 7 members + someone trying to join. Also that 8th party member slot is dedicated to Healer if no healer in the other 6 slots (choco in healer stance)
Off topic my dream within a dream is for a PvP element with mounted choco combat. Your bird and your HP combined, their buffs affect you and vice versa.
Would be quite the challenge for the animators since it'd require new animations for pretty much everything, drawn weapon stances, autoattack, WSs, Spells, everything -
