Crystal Tower Roulette!

Here is an idea to get people back into the Crystal Tower. I've always found this zone to be fun especially in pugs however there is literally no reason to go back there anymore, which is saddening!

Here is my idea for the Roulette.



Daily Random ilvl 130 locked Crystal Tower Zone:

Rewards:
- 500k Experience (If below level 60. This is a raid.)
- 75 Tokens of Law (If below level 60. A little bonus for pre50s!)
- 75 Esotestic Tokens (If level 60)
- 150 Tokens of Law (If level 60)

Item Reward:

Crystal Converter:
This item converts any piece of armor within the Crystal Tower to become a new piece of equipment that any class can wear or use. It is also dyable and has no stats. This allows any class to and it is level 50 with an ilevel of 0. It is only good for glamouring.

Of course you have to get the gear to convert it. Which means that people will be doing regular crystal tower to farm the pieces of appearance gear like normal.


Crystal Tower has amazing looking items and a lot of them are pretty mix/match. There are a lot of pieces that pretty much everyone wants to wear and should be able to since it was pretty mixed. This would allow some further armor customization of classes.

I would enjoy a Crystal Tower Roulette. Moreso if it had some eso attached at 60, but leveling xp would be cool too.

Knowing how stuff usually works, they will probably have us coming back to Crystal Tower to get drops we need for our new relics.

We get to to another 12 books, each one has Cloud of Darkness as part of it.

I like this idea, had to camp the duty finder for a few weeks to finish crystal tower story line after taking a break from 2.1 ~ 3.0 because literally nobody was doing it...

the crystal tower raids need more love, i really want the puff of darkness minion but with the super long queues and no exp reward its just not worth it

Not sure about the rewards but I do like a roulette for this. But ilvl130 for LotA and CT is a bit much. Make those 90 and 110 and it will be interesting again (but still not hard).

I love the idea, but make it so the mobs and bosses give experience points aswell (only when using it for the daily roulette). This will encourage players with classes that need to be leveled from 50-60 to join the Towers atleast once a day.

the minimum for WoD is ilvl90, so perhaps make the roulette ilvl100

I have to disagree with this, I think they should make it so the mobs and bosses always give EXP and just give more in the roulette.

But if the mobs in Crystal Towers give experience all the time, then the players will flock over to the Towers for fast mindless experience farming. Aside from newcomers, who will do FATES or Dungeons when CT gives experience points aswell and you can finish it within 15-20 minutes? Even if CT gives less experience points compared to FATES and Dungeons, players have proved again and again, that they will go for the option that takes the least amount of time and least amount of effort.

So unless the experience is reduced so low that people would only see it as a option and not fast experience farming, then I think my suggestion would be the better solution.

It's what's happening to 50 dungeons in 3.1, so it'd be nice to have it happen. Hell, it'd be nice for the Coils to give XP too.

500k exp or 75eso + 150 law with gear that can become any other gear

Realistically a roulette may happen but these types of rewards won't. I could see maybe 25 eso maybe but the gear already breaks down into demimateria if I remember correctly. If anything they would add a token system.

Plus it would be pre 60 or 60, if they mixed all post 50 lvls the drama would be real, esp from the three lvl 60 ppl carrying am alliance of 21 level 50 ppl, even then they would not mix 57s 58s and 59s with 50s for the same reason. That's the whole reason they have lvl sync in the first place with a small level range window per dungeon. It would likely be flat 60 with a raise in difficulty or synced to 50 with a 50 realistic exp reward at the end like high lvl. If you expect SE to put 50-59 in with 60s and give them an exp reward, that opens a huge can of worms in both drama and ppl selling exp runs which would also cause a drop in 51-59 dungeons and so much more. Need to think from a dev point of view, this would just be flat out bad on so many lvls if not synced or otherwise limited.

I miss the towers, I approve this :) (I haven't able to do any of them in ages because of such a long wait)

When you say tokens, you mean tomestone? If so, SE wouldn't reward tomestones of Law to people below lv. 60. To the contrary of tomestones during ARR which could be obtained before lv. 50 (Philo as soon as Stone Vigil in 2.0, beastmen quests rewards, ...), there is no way, as of now, to obtain tomestones of Law or Eso with a job below lv. 60. In fact, the experience bonus is here to compensate this in all the roulettes, so I think the line I bolded should be deleted.

75 tomestones of Esoterics seems a little bit too much as well. With the Expert roulette, the Frontline roulette and the Trial roulette, we could earn 75 + 75 + 40 (20 from Seal Rock, 20 from the roulette) + 10 = 200 tomestones of Esoterics in a day!

Maybe they could reward Eso and Law to players who have a level 60 class? So If you have reached level 60 once on your character you get Law/Eso and if you have never reached level 60 with a class on your character, you get the level 50 token.

An example, I have reached level 60 with my Scholar, but when doing the CT roulette, I join with my level 50 Dark Knight, since I already have acess to Law and Eso with my level 60 Scholar, I will get Law and Eso items as reward with my level 50 Dark Knight. If I want to get the level 50 token, then I can exchange my Law/Eso for the level 50 token. This would be a win/win for all players.

Yes please, especially like the sound of dyeable sets...I'd love to dye Amon gloves <3

I would like to pick up a lot of the wod gear for glamour for my off-classes. I really do hope they do something with CT raids, its such a nice place to be empty.

GOD YES! Me and my two gaming friends started playing a week or so before HW, and we all are dieing to do crystal tower and get the glamour gear for it, but the que times are so damn long none of us have been able to get in :(
