[Request] Frontlines Player Trading

So, I've had a lot of games where an alliance will have 4 or 5 healers and another alliance will have none.

Can we have a system added that lets us swap players to different alliances to better balance groups when situations like this occur?

I don't know if it has been requested before, but I know I've brought it up in a previous thread. The argument was that, as they are right now, those two minutes at the start are useless and annoying. It would be nice if they let us use them to balance our teams.

That being said, I don't know if this would be even possible. There's no system like this in place in the entire game, so they'd probably have to make it from scratch. As nice as it would be, I don't see this happening. It would be a lot of work, and SE doesn't seem to care about PvP enough to put in that much effort... Not to mention that it would really screw with the start time of the match if the teams didn't finish balancing their Alliances before the 2 minutes expired.

Compared to the work that's put into new PvP game modes/maps/rewards I don't see this as an unreasonable request, plus it's something (in my opinion) that's really needed.

I'm not sure what you mean by this. If the groups didn't get balanced before the game starts, then it'd be no different than how it is currently, however, at least we would have the opportunity. plus I don't see why the option to balance groups would have to be locked after the game starts unless that's how they decided to do it.

Think SE have some problem with programming this or never got this simple idea, btw swaping alliancemember is in each other games an standart.

Like, after an match we get and result, why we can't sorting this list for dmg, kills, jobs or name??

I want to trade those Twin Badders to other GC.

If they added a system where if you arent in a premade party, you should be able to trade places with someone as long as both say yes. (or even have the party leader be a third option to say yes so no trolling happens)

You can there should be an option towards the right side(not home to actually tell you, but you can)

What you see is what you get for pvp in this game. Don't expect too many qol improvements.

Or change queue system for that there would be 2 healer spots and 6 what ever random nonhealer spots. Healer spots can be changed inside between sch/astr/whm and other spots with everything else. But that would probably increase que timers especially in the morning. Would be nice if there would be option before join if you wanna que as dps/healer at same time because you can not know do group need dps or healers before you are into it.

Changing the queue would be a pain, especially on tiny datacentres where waiting hours for a single 8v8v8 is normal (my team was 6man for a while in one game this week and DF couldn't fill the empty slots for ages - and I'm pretty sure Flames are actually the ones with the lower numbers here). I often queue as one job but don't mind playing the other, and just randomly pick one to join as.

When I get on at prime time and see my team has 5 healers while another party has none it really is silly though.

Fortunately most players have both a healer and a DPS job available and will swap for the good of the team, but if letting us organise our own groups is too difficult then a simple solution would be an 'alliance sort' feature which works like the local party sort but rebalances the group to share the roles across the whole alliance.

- Message: ____ has requested an alliance sort.
- Yes/No
- Majority picks yes (just like with voting on a kick) and the alliance is automatically shuffled to balance the jobs better with the minimum of fuss.
- More people get to play the role they actually wanted to in the first place and we don't have teams with five DRGs and no healers.

Even if it can only be done while waiting in the starting area, it would really help.

"Majority" is hopefully ur own party cause some people want to stick with their groups like premades etc. and I rarely met people who switch to healer I always see 5 smn without any healer x.x

There would have to be some kind of logic where it wouldn't balance parties which were already reasonably balanced. So if A has 8x DPS and B has 4x healer and 4x DPS, but C is a decent mix of jobs, it should balance the first two parties instead of swapping everyone around chaotically.

You could also have it where you could opt in/out of being balanced on the same screen, though this would make it more complicated. Personally I wouldn't mind breaking up premades if it's necessary for the good of the overall alliance but I can see where it would not be fun to lose your buddies.

Maybe the switching is a JP thing. We almost never have more or less than 2 healers in a party because most people in my server's group will switch until the configuration is balanced. It sucks if you prefer playing a certain job though, or if you happen to be in a terrible configuration and nobody has a compatible job geared up. I guess I didn't consider that there might be arguments about shuffling the parties on English-speaking realms.

Being able to queue for the same thing as multiple jobs would also help (and it would help PVE too so I guess it has more chance of being implemented).

You could also do lets say 2 spots in a party which needs to be filled with healer and people with this spot arent allowed to change class. Idk if it would work but atleast it would gave people a reason to heal/learn to heal in pvp since they would have shorter queue. At the moment there is nothing for healer except (winning? lol).
