Suggestion sell Twintania mount for $60 on Mogstation

Currently the Twintana mount requires you to refer 3 people and have them buy the game. This can be hard to do if you don't know anyone. 3 copies of the game is $60 so why not offer the mount to solo players for a flat $60 on mogstaion for those of us who don't know any people.

Just recruit yourself or offer to give a copy of the game to random people on reddit/elsewhere

I just made an alt account when the recruit a friend came out. Easy as pie

You can also get it if you refer one person and they subscribe for I think 210+ days.

I only have one RAF and I got Twintania.

It doesn't require you to refer 3 people, it just requires you to have a certain number of days play time with someone you have referred. If you refer one person and they buy one copy of the game and play continuously, you'll eventually get it.

If you don't have anyone to refer, there is the recruit a friend code thread that you can post codes in, although it is a shot in the dark how long those people might continue to play. It's a thought though.

The idea is to get two or more people paying a monthly sub rather than one guy buying the game 3 times but after a month going back to only paying for the one account.

The scary part about this, i think people actually would foolishly buy it for 60 bucks, look at the odin mount,

But seriously, no, recruit some freinds if you want it that badly, but asking for it to be sold at a highly absurd price, for ANYTHING on the mog station, let alone a mount, further proves can and will throw money at anything. If you are seriously that desperatefor the mount you can make alts accounts.

stop making suggestions to milk money out of people plz. we have enough f2p bullshit games out there for that already.

You only need to know one person, really. The friend who recruited me got Twintania because I've been subscribed for more than a year.

you dont need to buy the game 3 times, you only need one person to sub for 6 months. (if they get account and buy 6 month sub you are good)

SUGGESTION:

GET RID OF THE CASH SHOP.

Why not add it to the gold saucer reward pool? Something to trive for ingame without a real life price tag on it?

It's almost like people want this game to be free to play...

Being punished for people not having or knowing people who will play the game is not "fair" to other players...it is really biased and should not have ever been done. Basically what SE is saying is that if you can help us make more money, then we will reward you...total bullshit in my opinion. Don't like the cash shop either but at least it is accessible to all players equally(unless of course you don't have a lot of money). I don't want to do "back Alley" potentially questionable tactics to get it either. I agree with the other poster in that if they want the "money" to give the mount then make that dollar amount for which it is rewarded and put it on the shop...that is what they are doing anyway.

Let's not encourage them to use up more development resources on the item store.

Step 2: Register this copy of the game with your recruit a friend code, make an alt character, and get out of the tutorial, and wait 30 days
Step 3: Buy this alt account 90 days of game time (e.g. pre paid cards, 3 month sub, etc)
Step 4: ???
Step 5: Twintania

No. I think the RAF is stupid/annoying and poorly timed, but cash shop? For SIXTY FRIGGIN' DOLLARS? Really?! Stop begging for SE to screw us over more please.

If you people complaining would put as much effort getting your codes out there as you do crying over the mount im sure you would of gotten your mount by now.... Honestly it only takes like 2 weeks to get the mount handing out codes.. Also to the OP if you are willing to pay 60$ for the mount then you are more tan capable of buying the game 3 times over which is also about 60$ in other words you're just lazy..

This, basically. I been posting codes and got Twintania and the red chocobo for my BF and I over the course of a couple days..lol its not hard. ^^;

I don't get how you can post a code have someone use it to get Twintania. Why would someone randomly use your code pay for the game so you can get Twintania.

You would have to pay for your friend/random person to play for 210 days for 15 feathers that would be around $84 + cost of the game.

They don't randomly use your code so you can get Twintania, they find it in one of a hundred RAF threads over various websites for FFXIV and use it so that when they begin playing the game they can also get added benefits while helping another player.

Y'know, throwing out a code is like pouring a drop of water into an ocean. New players have mountains of free codes, and it's a lottery to get yours taken if, say, every friend you know either was playing before you or isn't interested. But yeah you're right, that makes someone "lazy". OP's suggestion is still stupid, but people who got lucky and have their rewards saying "It's not hard LOL" is just as obnoxious. It's just luck.

I boggles my mind that FFXIV's community is ok with cash shop.

I don't know if it's so much that everyone is okay with it, just that there's no sense in fighting it because it very clearly isn't going anywhere.

Are people here crazy or what? Really, you're willing to pay $60 for a half assed mount that doesn't even have a saddle (and a very wonky riding animation)? And here I thought Slepnir was overpriced, but hey, at least that has a proper riding animation. I used Twin for about a week until I got bored of it and went back to my primal ponies, it's really not even worth a dollar.

Also, the purpose of the RaF rewards is to get people playing, not to get yourself the mount. If you get 3 others playing, that's $60, and if even one of them stays that's much more money for them than $60. I've seen quite a bit of people on Reddit giving away game codes with the condition they use their RaF code, do that or something. You might even become friends with the people you recruit (if you know where to look you can get codes for $10-15, friend bought a code for that much and has been playing the game for over 200 days now I think, without issues).

There is a New players Forum Section here and some threads where you can put your codes. of course i was smarter and posted them everywhere not just here on forums. I went to Steam,Reddit,Gaming Sites,Youtube etc. The Recruit a friend Campaign says they will later post an (end date) to the campaign so if you're gonna try and get the mount it should be now. instead of crying over forums you get no shinny twin mount.
