Welcome to the official recruitment thread for the linkshell [ Awakening ]. With this thread we hope to meet new and friendly players, who are interested in joining our linkshell/static.

Awakening is a linkshell which goal is to creating a close family, with players who help each other out during the regular evenings, and together raid 3 days a week. We are a casual, but determined group, who jokes around when it's possible, but gets serious and focussed when needed. This way, we ensure a steady progression in a relaxed envoirment. The golden rule: Real Life always has priority over In game!

The Linkshell has the following to offer to their members:

• 3 days raiding per week: Sunday, Tuesday and Friday - Doing A1S, A2S, Thordan and SOON PROGRESSION ON A3S.
• Full operational website, for forums/event registration
• TS3 sever, used for raiding, but also for regular evenings
• Steady, but relaxed progression, with the chance to learn and experience all the content of FFXIV:ARR
• We accept both new players/raiders and veterans! We think that everyone should be given a fair chance in getting to the top!

Currently, we are recruiting the following classes/roles:

• Summoner (very preferred!)
• All DPS classes (preferred: Having an Heal/Tank class as off-spec)

Hi Xtrema, i'm looking for something just like your ls! I currently only have BLM at 60 and can't be dedicated to saying i will 100% be available for set raid days, if you'd have me in the ls i'd be happy to fill in as BLM (or whatever once i get other classes leveled) but only if needed. There would be no pressure in having to involve me, would just be good for me to have more options than just PUG'ing all the time. Drop me a message on here or in game sometime if you're interested in having me!

Hello Otium, thank you for your interest! As you can see in my original post, we are currently looking for a BLM, since we don't have one at the moment, so you are more then welcome to join! I will try to reach out to you this evening! :D

8th of September: Downed Bismarck EX + Alexander Normal as a full Linkshell group! We had a very very nice group going with some new DPS, but all did very very well!

Next on the progression list: Binding Coil (Synced on level 50!) / Ravana EX, followed by Savage in the very near future!

Hi, Im currently in progress of searching for a static as a BLM main and really liked the ideas of how it all works. didnt see any set times for raids but i geuss that for another day to discuss. Im not exactly geared to the max as i have taken a short 1 month break due to lack of interest on my old server. But if you could reach out to me in game as im off the next few days and should be online alot for a little chat. even so it would be nice to have a group of people to just tag along with every so often to help with content.

Update 14th of September 2015

Last night we have started progressing The Binding Coil of Bahamut, synced (so on level 50)! And it was a great success! We got to Twintania and almost downed him/her/it? Next week we will continue on that.

Also, we have added another raid day to our roster, which makes a total of 3 days!! We use 1 for progression in Coil, 1 for EX primals and 1 for Alexander (Savage).

Since we have the aim to do all the raids (even the 24 raids), we would like to expand our roster, and form 2 more raid teams. Together, we should have enough members to take on the current 24 man raids (and upcoming ones!). See the post below for more!

So what are we looking for:

- ± 3 - 4 Tanks
- ± 2 - 3 Healers
- ± 5 - 6 DPS
- 2 (or more preferred!) players who dare to step up, take the charge and lead either of the new teams to victory (note: It's not important that you have experience in the ffxiv raids, you need to dare to step up and guide a group through the dungeon!)

A 2nd team can be up very fast, so we can ensure players that they can do the usual raids as well, and perhaps a 3rd group as well. I have always liked having more teams, as long as we have all friendly players!

Upcoming Tuesday is our first Savage try, and from there on we will see how far we can come :) So far all the progression we have done went very good with lots of fun. Everyone starts to get to know each other and the raids have been really good! :D

We'd managed to get 2 groups up and running tonight for the first time! It was a enormous success!

Our goal is to fill up one more group, so we can also do the 24-man content, SYNCED, and experienced it like as it was just released! Also in preparation of the new 24-man raid, we must be able to get along well, and the old 24-man raids are a great way of doing so.

Awakening has cleared Alexander Savage: Floor 1 on tuesday 3th of November! A wonderful job to all who joined us, and everyone else as well, who worked, trained, wiped and laughed with us while practicing A1S! :D

For upcoming tuesday we have our first Void Ark run with 3 groups! We have some help from friendly FC's, but eventually we want this to be a main LS event, and doing the old 24-man raids as well! Our website has gotten a make over, ready for Patch 3.1 and ready for everyone who wants to join our Raiding Linkshell!

Upcoming tuesday we starting straight away with Void Ark, followed by King Thordan on thursday. Besides the new raids, we will continue progressing in Alexander Savage and doing the other new and old content as a team as well!

To fill our second team up, we are looking for the following:

- DPS classes
- 1 - 2 Healers (with DPS off-spec, and know that, before the 2nd group is up, you might have to sit out a couple of times)
- 1 - 2 Tanks (with DPS off-spec, and know that, before the 2nd group is up, you might have to sit out a couple of times)

This is for our current A1S farm + A2S progress (soon to be farm) and A3S progression. Also for the Thordan runs we want to set up a 2nd group, as having eventually a third group for a full pre made Void Ark on a weekly base.

For those who don't know us (and don't want to read all the 'bump' posts :D): Awakening is a Linkshell on the Odin server. We are a very social, friendly and fun loving group of skilled raiders who are currently raiding 2-3 times a week, but nothing is a must! We prefer our raiders to attend at least 1 raid a week, so we can make sure we only have raiders in the Linkshell. We use TS3 as a voice server, and our current raid days are Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday, and probably as of this week we will add Saturday to that as well. We raid 19:00 - 21:00 Server time and as you can see, our raids only last 2 hours, so we maintain a comfortable raiding schedule, instead of creating forced raiding, which no one likes.

We conform the raid spots for the upcoming raid 12 hours before the actual raid, so that everyone knows if they are expected to come, and if not still have time to plan something else. You will not have to come online and wait, only to get dissapointed since you didn't win tonight's roll for a spot. If the raid spots are confirmed, and you are not, you will be put on our priority list, which means that for the next similar raid, you will have priority over everyone else who signed up, making sure that everyone get's his or her fair share of raiding action! Also running daily experts, Void Arks, Diadems and even pre-HW content. All you have to do is ask :)

Weekend Bump!

We have downed A1S, we will down A2S 100% this weekend (almost got them last tuesday, so upcoming sunday is a given :)), so from next week on, we will start progressing on A3S !! Recruitment still open!

We have cleaned up our Linkshell recently, removing the inactive members and non-raiders from the Linkshell. While the Linkshell is a nice place to chat and ask for dungeons, this isn't the reason why it was created. The point of the Linkshell is, to have a group of raiders together to finish the end-game content. We believe that, in order to do so, we need to have raiders who can at the very minimum attend at least 1 raid a week, to make sure we get to know each other good and learn to adapt and rely on each other. That's why we did some cleaning and we hope, with the current base of members, we can continue to grow in our progression again. We won't be aiming to have several groups anymore, as we have experienced it's hard to fill up a 2nd group even.

So to make it clear what we are currently looking for:

- 1 Warrior tank, preferably with an DPS class as offspec
- 1 Scholar healer, preferably with and DPS class as offspec
- 1 BLM/SUM DPS

Our current raid days are Tuesday, Friday and Sunday, and we raid from 19:00 - 21:00u. Server Time. We always raid for 2 hours, and only extend if everyone agrees. We are currently on Thordan: practice after the meteors and on A2S, but we are very close to the kill, so we will soon start on A3S. We are looking for very active members, who can at least try and attend to 2 raids our of 3.

Awakening has cleared A2S !!! After one-shotting A1S (/faceroll) we took a couple of ugly wipes (6% on last mob before enrage :mad::mad:) but finally we managed to beat it! Also, we have started our progression on A3S! A very good job and big thanks to everyone who trained with us before the holidays, and to start 2016 with this is perfect! ;):cool:
