Thanks for the TP display!

Thanks SE for implementing a display of TP for party members! This is great! Now I will get Goad from Ninjas on my Brd for all those heavy AOE pulls!!!

Except, wait ... since implemented, I've had exactly ZERO ninjas give me goad, even when I have next to no TP at all. The last time, I even asked twice and nothing.

Just a reminder to all ninjas that this is, indeed, one of the skills that you have. You could actually use it! Just a thought.

Bad players will be bad players, regardless of the information they are presented.

I'll give bards goad when they learn how to play a single song.

As a Bard you have access to Invigorate so I don't see the issue. Don't have Invigorate? Well, that's a problem you can easily fix. Personally I'd rather see Goad go to the tank. Yes, this is me, the Bard, saying Goad should go to the tank. I'm just a DD, my job is to kill things and sing songs. If I start going yellow I slow down on my output so the tank can get it back without spamming moves (unless it's something like a bee, then I go ahead and draw aggro as I dump everything in murdering it). I don't need Goad, and will never ask for it. But if you need Paeon then I'm perfectly fine obliging.

TP bars come and bad players still bad. Remember this when people bring up parsers :^ )

I find most people continue to ignore the bars unless they're the supporting role in an endgame static where people specifically tell them to look out for it.
The only reason I can think of for this is because there's no legitimate support role, just DPS classes with some support options. So that Ninja isn't going to think about looking up at a bar, especially since he's had a year+ of motion training to only respond to chat when asked for a goad.
A bard MIGHT be a bit more helpful since they're sometimes (rarely, but it happens) looking at the healers MP bar. They may glance at the TP bars as well.

If we had actual support roles with classes that aren't designated to add damage from themselves, then maybe we'd have a quicker turnaround on the random pickups responding to low TP issues without prompts.
But that's likely not something going to happen.

I goad all the time since we've gotten the tp bar. Some people just don't pay attention to that yet. Just ask and if they don't do it try caps lock ;)

As a Ninja I'll goad the Bard when the tank elects to pull a lot of minions at a time, often times with just a bard and a melee as dps. Personally I'm happy there is a way now of making a decision as to who actually needs the Goad more and I can also assess it from the perspective of how weak the minions are and how much more damage they might need from an AOE perspective.

Best QOL or one of the best so far :)
And i always goad or when playing Bard sing. Players are just bad that do not bother.
On a sidenote all the new dungeons for example by no means starve you of tp.
No sure about Alex and such as i play as blm

Invigorate will not be enough to keep up BRD's AoE TP consumption. If you're going to AoE to do more damage and resort to singing a Paeon because the NIN is too lazy to goad you and you reduce your own damage, then that defeats the purpose of AoEing in the first place. Even when you're not AoEing, if you're playing BRD correctly on 3 trash mobs and DoTing everything, your TP will get murdered as well.

TLDR; pls goad your BRDs.

I never sing for myself, seems too self-serving and I still don't think I'm benefiting from it. And seriously, I've actually lost my temper at being Goaded during a dungeon where the tank was a marauder, they thrive on TP and having a few seconds of infinite amounts of it seem far more useful to them than giving it to me when I DO have Invigorate. With the change to Rain of Death I don't burn TP as badly during AoE attack spam as I used to as long as I can keep Venomous Bite and Windbite up. But this is all just me and my own preferences.

Dang because even if I do keep up those DoTs I never have enough TP during AOEing..always end up having to play for myself.
And no, I don't use the coolest useless skill, Wide Volley.

I've had warriors tell me they need Goad the least, and that a DRK or PLD would need it more. As it stands use it and someone yells at you, don't use it and someone yells at you.

Well, I like to think a person is smart. If I don't need Goad then it shouldn't be that much of a leap to use it on someone that does.

the fix to Blood Sword has alleviated some TP issues. In single target battles, a tank would probably need goad more unless its a training dummy fight like T8, but when AoEing, under no circumstances should you Goad a PLD or DRK.

I think the TP bar looks kinda janky.... it's just a blank bar... we know what it is but it just looks so incomplete...

Wasn't an AOE specific situation. On longer ST battles like boss fights, I've had Warriors comment twice so far, that goad is not needed (they were at half TP). The other dps were magic based, not needing tp. Using it on a bard during an AOE pull is kind of a given for any ninja worth his salt.

Just commenting I've had warrior tanks snub their nose at my goad when it seemed they needed it

As an AST, I am happy about seeing tp now. However, I usually still end up giving Spire to tanks or recycling it altogether. No one really seems to be dying for it when I draw that card.
