It's unfair to have a hairstyle contestant in the first post

people are gonna vote the first one the most. it's so obvious.

And? Would it make a difference if the "first" entry was in the 2nd post? You'd still get the same effect.

That's why this forum should have a poll option already. It's a built-in feature of vBulletin.

And yet on both the male and female threads, neither first post entries are winning (the female one is behind by 300 and the winning male one is on page 3)

It doesn't seem to be affecting votes much, at least on the male side. The first post is at 434 votes, while post 23 is at 492 votes.

But that's not what happened. Do you honestly believe people are too lazy to look past the first post?

For females atleast, entry 8 and 21 actually have a lot more votes than the first post.

The Japanese are not as fascinated by posts "FIRSTS" like the English side of the internet seems to be. so.

Since Lalas are generally hated, and the center of most stupidly unfunny jokes, and the first post happens to contain a style on the head of a lala, I think the other drawings have a chance.

Not even sure why female 21 is so high, personal preference I suppose, however I've always found the side hair tail extremely lacking in unique.

Lol nope it's not at all. The one female on page 2 or 3 already has 900+ and winning by a landslide at that.
Edit: page 3 is now over 1k 2nd is at 800+

female 21 on 3rd page got much like tho, so it won't affect the amount of vote by page.

Not saying either of the first post entries are bad, but if they were bad or simply not to my taste, I sure as heck wouldn't vote for them regardless of them being in the very first post.

Not sure how much of a difference it would make even if it wasn't listed first. People will choose what they want to/what they think is nicest :P

I don't think it matters OP. Honestly, I looked over each and everyone of the entries and voted for 3 or 4 of my top favorites in each category.

Meh, there are some toward the middle and end that seem very popular. Doesn't seem to me that the first one has any kind of benefit over the rest.

Also, for those of us who use default forum settings, there's three pages, so several "firsts". It doesn't seem to be effecting their scores either way.

Some rules to live by:
Never vote for the first selection.
Never buy the first house you look at.
The answer is always C, and
Never play cards with a guy whose first name is a city.
Now stick to that and everything else is cream cheese.
