Over 1 million MGP spent on gold packs and still no sign of Warrior of Light

The first 1 million MGP went on Cloud..
I have kept the last results of 200+ packs

62 Baderon
25 Miounne
40 Gerolt
14 Ultima
9 Cid
3 Zidane

I think more people are going to question how you saved up two and a quarter million MGP while 90% of the community is still working towards one million. Did you hit the jumbo cactpot at least once?

easy, just wintrade during every tournament, makes 50k mgp every 2 weeks with 0 effort

I do MGP religiously, a few first place in TT yes, a couple of 3 numbers in Cactpot, 521K MGP from mini cactpot, maybe 300k or so from Imperial, its not hard to have this much.

Unfortunately, that's RNG for you, just got to suck it up and keep going for it, but yes, there should be some smart RNG (where each subsequent action like every 20 card packs, chances are slightly increased) in place because stuff like that does get ridiculous.

I am far more impressed with how you managed to not smash your head through a wall from frustration.

It took me 600 - 800k to get both Zidane and WoL.

I got my WOL on the third try. Still trying for that Zidane though.

When I started opening packs I heard all the stories that Zidane was harder to get, so when I got it in my third pack ever I thought i would be done with packs after maybe 100 max.. but nooo RNG slaps me in the face ;(

There are children in the Brume who could've used all that MGP you spent!

Woah, that's a lot of MGP right there. Got WoL on my second pack and I'm still trying to get Zidane (spent 400k on it already), I just hope it doesn't last for too long, as I'll need to save MGP for Cloud too.

Ahem, sorry for rambling.

I'm slightly behind you in terms of expenses, Scalizor, but I'm afraid it will be a long waiting. It'd be slightly better if I kept getting Ultima or such with those gold packs, but so far most of my Gold packs have turned out to be Baderon, Gerolt, Momodi or Miounne (and while my character probably thinks of them as his bros and aunties, their worth in MGP is negligible).

Haru: I feel for you, as a fellow Excalibur resident as well. Hopefully, all that hard work will translate to achievements and rewards once they implement the new additions (looking forwards to the soon-to-be-updated Challenge Log, too).

I'm in the same boat, and the most annoying thing for me about the situation, is that they are the last 2 cards I need from spending MGP on an RNG system. Every other attempt to get cards I make, I am at least making MGP, which can be put towards the mounts, but these two are there taunting me....

Nah I stopped after I got my four cards on both accounts. Not many people work that hard to do it on every single TT tournament. Also someone beat me like three times. I wasn't aiming for first, just the stupid cards.

Essentially cheats a w/l system that SE is done trying to fix, QQ's when he doesn't get the card he needs. Deserved IMO.

I'm at 1.2m earned in Gold Saucer and only have Zidane. I haven't spent MGP on anything else other than card packs (and Gambler Barding).... soo.... rng is fun. I'm most afraid that when I finally get another rare it will be more Zidane (and then I'll cry)


Edit: I shouldn't have spoken about duplicates.... I just went and bought 3 gold packs and guess who I got?? *cries*

WoL was my 3rd gold pack or so but now i've spent at least 100k and no zidane.

Took me a good 600k on gold packs to see my first WoL, nearly at 1m MGP and I've gotten a second WoL but no Zidane. I have no hope on them ever increasing the drop rates on these cards, but I really do hope they never add more booster pack exclusives.

Around 100 packs, no sign of Zidane and WoL :P

Aw that really sucks, also sucks that win trading in TT is one of the factors you had to take to get to 1 million :<

It's either that, being really lucky with the Jumbo Cactpot or grinding MGP from the Mor Dhona imperial for weeks. There should be some better sources for MGP imo.

Agreed, the Imperial is so soulsucking. I have less than 200k to go for cloud and it hurts to play against him non-stop for 102 MGP profit per round with FC buff up.

Indeed. I made about 300k only by farming the Gaius card and it was a nightmare. That's why I'm not gonna bother farming MGP like that, specially because after 800k MGP spent on gold packs I still need Zidane, so it's gonna be at least 1.2m more for both Zidane and Cloud. I'm really patient, but getting over 10k TT wins for just a couple of cards is a huge grind that I don't plan on doing.

I have another 500k MGP to burn, just deciding on when I want the heartbreak, on a plus I'm 30% towards the 10mil achievement and I haven't won anything past lotto 2nd prize yet :(

I just reached 1m MGP, still no sign of Zidane. This is what I got from my last 110 packs.

I just got my WoL after around 800k mgp was spent. I think I scared the neighbors when I screamed YES!! *UCK YES! out loud :D
