These are just some Idea to throw out and see what people think. I know it takes a lot of time and thought to make a proper and well balanced class. So don't beat me with clubs pl0x. ; - ;
I've always found it really cool when there's always an involvement with time manipulation. It just sounds so powerful to me. I've always wanted to make a Time Mage class/Chronomancer in a game as a supporty type of deal. I just feel like there so much potential. I'd love to see it with a slowing enemies or speeding up allies. Maybe even something that involves bringing back health to an ally that took damage from a certain period of time. Stopping an enemy in its tracks and keeping it frozen in time for duration would be cool as well. I made a small list of skills I think would be cool. Some of them I didn't give names for since its kind of hard to make a name lol ; v ; )7

-So of course as all healing classes do in FFXIV we have our 2 basic heals as well as our important AoE heal and atleast one HoT. Lets not forget a reviving spell as well. I would also like to see a skill like Light Speed.
-I also had an idea for rewind type of skill. The rewind would reduce cool downs on skill for a very short period of time.
Hasten: Granting Haste to allies near by.
Stop: Freezing an enemy in time for a certain duration. [My second idea to this was to freeze the enemy in time for a certain duration until the enemy was hit. Kind of like Repose.]
Slow World: Placing Slow status on near by enemies.
Veil: Grants resistance against damage.
Time Slip: Reduce the amount of TP and MP being used for a duration. -

Quake II: An Earth based spell that deals damage to an enemy as well as the enemies in a certain radius near it.

I'm pretty sure AST is as close to Time Mage as we're going to get. AST has time-based (a major plot point, actually) and gravity-based spells.

I highly doubt this would get put in. Here's why.
Everything either builds immunity to enfeebles or resists it out right.
You wana make a role on here that's main mechanic will be to stop or slow mobs? It won't happen stuff on here gains resistance so fast or not at all the stun ability's in raids sent worth anything but damage and even if something can be stunned it gains resistance so fast because every dps uses it in their rotation well the bad dps I should say.
And we already now and I want thank the person who said it that SE didn't know right now how to make a good support role because of the way right now how the balanced party's are set up it won't happen. -

And you think the devs haven't thought of time mages as a possible class, mechanics and all. I'm pretty sure every class in past FF games has been considered already, deemed them as viable or not, as interesting or not, some of them may come later, etc. No need to keep reimagining past classes since the devs most likely did so already.

Time Mages have had spells like Comet and Meator given to them in the past due to the Japanese word for the class referring to Space-Time. Thus they took the space literally and used celestial objects. I could see a DPS class about this.

It is past due for another caster type DPS jobs, and it could probably work, but probably not as you think. For example: SCH in FFXI is very different then SCH in FFXIV, if they did introduce time mage, it probably won't work like you think, Much like people wanting red mage so badly even tho it won't follow the same style as it did in 11, it's just because it's "red mage" that people want it.
