does any1 know?
No clue what the hell you are talking agout.
Never Give Up
I wonder too how that works or what it even is?
bump bump bump
If you're asking how people shout/say the same thing over and over, it's probably a macro. Or they just use ctrl-C to copy and paste. (Please don't do this.)
Spacebar - up - enter ?
My guess would be the filters will prevent you from seeing stuff that is said/emoted multiple times within a certain time frame. Like...if someone says 10 lines of text within a minute, 6 of the lines will be filtered.
Though, I honestly have no idea, as I didn't know the filters existed
i tried testing it, didn't work :P
What do you want to do? I am so confused.
If you want to repeat whatever you have said before, then bringing up the chat input line and press [UP] arrow button will bring back what you have previously said.
EDIT
Sorry I brought back an old topic. I don't know why I had this thread opened on one of my tabs. Must have been browsing somewhere weird and saw it, then opened it and didn't notice it was almost a month old.
EDIT again
Thank you Aistaraina for explaining ^_^
He means the chat filters that were put in at some point that nobody noticed. They are filters for chat log spam, that, as someone stated earlier, should filter anyone who spams a channel quickly. Although I've never tested them myself. I actually have them turned off.. if someone does it, I just blist them for a little bit.
Why would you need a detailed explanation? Here's as detailed as it gets
Type a message
Press enter
Press spacebar
Press up on arrow keys
See the old text
Press enter
???
Profit
According to the person replying before you, the thread is not about repeating what we typed in chat, but rather the spam filter which I've never realized was implemented, never seen it in action, and thus never tested. So, on the reply after that reply which was elaborating the OP's question, I saw the "Detailed explanation" and thought it would explain the system in more detail.
Yes.
Still no answer eh?...
the filter well for at least me doesnt seem to work i;ve tried turning them on then had some ls members start spammin /s /shout everything they said showed up so I have no clue what there for lol
Well if you ask how does it work, as in how to activate it, set it just like your other kinds of filter.
If you set "hide" then the chatlog will hide anything that's classified as that type of spam.
I do not know, though, how the system will decide which message is spam.
Might be so many lines of text in one specific channel in a limited period of time.
Might be repeated text only.
If it works like it did in FFXI then it's for RMT spam. Back in XI we use to get tells constantly telling us to go to websites for cheap gil, powerlevels, etc. I would assume that's what it is for? I know there were a few phrases, that if typed, would give you a message saying it couldn't be sent. Something about RMT'ish and all that...
Its been months and yet nobody still knows what this does?
umm... Minun, could you please reformulate the question? I'm kinda confused, and can't help you in any way =(
When you open (in-game) Menu>Configuration>Log Settings, the box where you click show or hide, under Linkshell (8) there are those options.
Let's see... Filters enabled (Show) will show you the message, and Filters disabled (Hide) will not show them. So, when you put OFF to "Say", you'll not see any character that has been sent in the /say section. Same thing for the tells and any other message. You can have a tab that shows only one information for example, like Ifrit's TP moves.
Did this answer your question?
Right but instead of /say
there is
/say spam
/tell spam
/shout spam
emote spam
Has anyone tried /? /say spam?
I tried them by turning them on hide, but I don't know if it does anything, i even tried spamming
