Armor Request

Since the Koenig and Ares (Wootz) sets were added, how about adding some of the NPC exclusive armor sets from XI that would fit in XIV?

It would fit well coming from Ishgard since it's from San d'Oria (Elvaan/Elezen nation in XI)

There are a lot of nice looking sets to draw inspiration from (or just implement) just like what was done with the Valerian sets. I suggested this one in particular because it's not bulky and won't clip as much (and I'm really tired of super bulky arms and shoulders on tank)

I like the dungeon sets they have implemented in 3.0 and even the LAW sets are pretty sweet and so are the Eso's...one thing they do pretty well in this game is gear sets. Always something good for your character even if you have to glamour backwards...I used the High Allagan Healer robe for so long...it was just beautiful and still to this day is one of my favorite chest pieces.

I've always thought some of the really iconic pieces like Hauberk/Haubergeon for tanks, Vermillion cloak (or Dalmatica) for mages, and scorpian harness for melee would be really cool too. That's like all anyone wore at one point so it's all you ever seen in town lol. Figured I'd add that here.

I'd love to rock an armadaberk or hauby again, this needs to happen <3

Personally, I want Alphinaud's new coat. I have a few glamour ideas for it

For hauberks they have several they could choose from:

Alumine, Adaman, normal Hauberk, Haubergeon, Byrnie

Loki's Kaftan would also fit

I'd love to see any of these suggestions added. Also the Usukane set/Homam Corazza etc. FFXI had a lot of beautiful and intricately detailed armors. You could pretty much grab any of them, and everyone would love them.

Also the unique armor that General Rughadjeen from Al Zahbi used to sport was pretty wicked. I remember always wanting to wear it, but they never gave it to players. At least not by the end of 2013.

Inb4 the mandatory "if you love FFXI so much then gtfo and go back to it". That seems to be the specialty of a certain person from what I've read.

FFXI has so many gorgeous armor sets, if I had to choose one... well, I couldn't :D

Here are three I think would fit my catboy really well though:

- Morrigan
- Charis
- Goetia (I would be even more tempted to switch to BLM if it was Job exclusive though, and the name is already taken, but not the design)

I never really played FFXI, but I know that the Eisenplatte set was awesome looking, as someone modded it over to Skyrim, where it still looked nice.

Then again, that was the set that made me quit Final Fantasy XI... Abyssea had me sitting at the door, but when they raised the crafting level cap from 100 to 110 for these sets? Well, I'd have been fine with that if 100-101 wasn't absolutely horrible... Red Scrips seem tame in comparison...

There were some great armor designs in XI that I would love to see ported over to XIV. Especially if they could be dyed. Some of my favourites not including job specific gear (at least ones I was particularly attached to in XI)

Ya XI had waay better looking gear especially for ninja, Most of the ninja gear in this game just looked like rogue gear and i wanted to look like a ninja...

Basically, every single Salvage set.

Most of the complaints I heard about Aurore had to do with the color

It's a nice design but there was no way to dye it in XI and I think that annoyed a lot of people so they'd just wear something else even if it wasn't as good. Wouldn't be an issue in XIV though and the design itself is really good.

I'd love something new with a coeurl skin print.

I made this thread for existing armor sets (or pieces) that, if they fit within the world, could be implemented. If you have any sets that you can think of, feel free to post them.

They did have Ocelot gloves and trousers in XI but those are the only coeurl print type pieces I can think of (from any SE game). Those two are included in the Loki's Kaftan (the body) picture I submitted on page 1.

id like to see something outside of final fantasy series made by square to be a armor set.

Maybe armor from Dragon quest maybe a MMO cross over quest can gain it.

Idk any other game with a armor set as a special thing, I know it wouldn't fit in the story line but it could be some sort of quest like the box was buried like a time capsule and you find the armor set dated back in time lol
