Which is easiest DoL for making $$$ ?

So which DOL would be easy to gather and make loads of gils to support main characters ?

It's difficult to give a single answer since the profitability of gathering any given item depends on the individual server's economy (what's in demand and how many other people are gathering a supply of that item.) Ultimately I would recommend leveling all of the gathering jobs because this maximizes your opportunity to find that some mat is worth a lot and go collect some. MIN and BTN in particular play exactly the same way and the game often spreads out the timing of unspoiled nodes such that a player can hit more nodes by having both jobs.

As to the individual jobs:
- MIN tends to gather more items that are in demand for producing gear. For the level 50-60 mats, both titanium ore and hardsilver ore are hidden gathers, making them more valuable; there is a fairly high demand for aurum regis sand and hardsilver sand as well. MIN only has one unspoiled node with a material that's heavily used (adamantite ore) though. Mined resources tend to get used up in larger quantities so you should be able to move a good amount of mats.
- BTN has fewer basic resources that are used heavily (rainbow cotton and ramie are the big ones) but it has the advantage that BTN gathered resources often go into consumables, meaning that you will have a fairly steady demand for these items over time. BTN also has more unspoiled nodes with valuable materials for crafting, such as morels and the two mistletoes.
- FSH has the fewest resources that are in demand by crafters, but the ones it can produce are valuable because fewer people do fishing. Certain items can be very lucrative but this is balanced out by the RNG nature of fishing where it will take time to gather them in reliable quantities. Mogpoms and blue cloud coral are used in stat dissolvent recipes, which are in fairly high demand.

I always laugh to myself when I see posts like this. Sorry. But here's a quick tip:

If people post the answer in an open forums like this, then EVERYONE will be doing it to make money. Suddenly, the market is flooded with specific items that won't sell, now NO ONE is making money.

Case in point, when Mithrie posted how he made millions of gil with Mastercraft Demimateria, the market was suddenly flooded and the Mastercraft Demimateria prices plummeted.

My point is, you have to find out for yourself how to do it.

You just need to put the work in yourself and then keep it to yourself if you want sustained income. Check out the market boards...making money takes work.

Without giving away any particulars a lot of mob dropped items go for more than most gathered mats and can be farmed pretty reliably. However, if you're hell-bent on leveling a DoL class to make some money, I'd recommend miner.

Disclaimer: I'm about about to enter full-blown opinion mode so if you disagree with me that's fine but remember I'm not saying that this is the most efficient way or even a good way to make money.

Miner seems to have more useful mats than BTN or FSH so you can make decent money on miner because when one market floods it's easy to switch to another.

Well anything that is that "easy to gather" is bound to have loads of competition, which means lower prices and no "loads of gil" for you. Sometimes it's more profitable to "mine" the NPC merchant right next to the market board. Just find your opportunity and take advantage of it. The market is constantly changing, so it's "never the same river twice."

If you want mind-numbingly easy, I'd recommend looking into cul desynth. At the higher levels, most of the fish give 1-6 crystals per desynth, and most of the fish are dirt cheap. People always need crystals, so there's always a demand.

Good lord, what a full-on neckbeard of a post.

Go miner. adamantite ore, darksteel ore and gold ore are seriously in demand right now, but there's a fair bit of money to be made from ephemeral nodes (or specifically, aetherially reducing them to aethersands).

prob when server goes quiet will level up mining :) kinda don't like doing crafting but prefer gathering stuff

ive made good money as a fisher believe it or not. i mean, its probably much slower than the other DoLs but so far for august ive made almost 5m by only fishing methods
