So anyone who's tinkered with ninja knows how annoying it can be to have mudras get muddled by the server. My Idea is simple, until a SE can do something to fix it (which I wouldn't expect for a long time since I imagine it would require expensive and extensive hardware upgrades) just make it so a Failed Mudra gives a Fuma Shuriken instead of the bunny of shame. It wouldn't be OP and would still be a "consequence" of failing as it wouldn't have the potency or utility of other possible Ninjutsu.

But the bunny is supposed to tell that you failed the mudra. It's supposed to be there so others can look at you and laugh.
The only adjustment I want is failing a Kasatsu mudra will spawn a giant bunny over your head instead of the normal one.
Seriously though, it's a mechanics to tell you that you just failed. If we keep on nerfing punishments, the game just feels... empty. Failure is what drives us to do more and be more successful in the future.
But hey, the mudra lag needs a look too. I'm not saying that it doesn't but I do not agree with this fix. -

There's no point in advocating humiliation of ninjas who have not failed anything. The servers/lag are why I and probably the majority of people get bunnies sometimes, not because we failed ourselves.
With your logic, we may as well give calculus tests to toddlers and say it's their fault when they fail and advertise it to the world when they do. -

Idk about anyone else. But they should just remove the madra system and Have it set up like XI's. Make them all abilities with 1.5 second casts that you can use while running. also keeping the ninjutsu button so u can use the ability when u want it to go off, like how it is now. This way youll still have control over when it goes off and won't have to worry about lag issues. But just an idea

You could just set up macros for different mudras possibly. It might be extra space on the bar but if they worked more consistently then it might be worth it. It depends how the lag hits though and how macros run. It's possible that they could allow you to get around server-side lag if they execute all at once and then hit the stack so it would match whatever delay you were getting on the server and still be synced properly. If not though then another fix might be necessary...
Are you *sure* it isn't client-side lag that is causing this? Even with a good connection sometimes things get slightly muddled as your source connects to the ISP then SE servers and back again. Without some way of verifying this it could be anywhere in the I/O chain in all reality. This wouldn't stop the adding of a mechanic to compensate for this though but it would be a tough fix to pull off besides just outright widening the input window or something. -

step2 mudra 2 (client)
step3 mudra 3 (client)
step4 ninjutsu (server)
and Kassatsu shouldn't have any delay after we activate it. so annoying. -

I don't think that's the case. Being able to weave the Mudra into your rotating would just be more fluid and less susceptible to lag complications.Quote:
