is it me or fate/sidequest EXP are bad from 55-60

Like 20-40k instead of 70-100k per fate ? did they lower it down or something ? cause i swear all the damn sidequest only gives 36-46k per hand in which not enough to reach lvl 59 :( still like halfway mark then there no sidequest AKA forcing me to grind fate (cant do this until flying in hinterland until i unlock 2 more aethers quest (need 59 for it)) would like to see the FATE EXP or sidequest exp increased more from 52 -60 ...

The armoury bonus applies for jobs with a level lower than your highest level job, which means more fate exp.
If it's your first job towards 60, it was known before heavensward launched that quests and story would not be enough on its own. You have dungeons, Duty Roulette bonuses, challenge log bonuses, levequests, FATEs, ... to go through to get that last bit to hit 59 and continue story.
Churning Mists fate parties seem to be the most popular now, so I recommend you head there if you want to do fates.

For your first level 59, doing the Library dungeon helps a great deal. You get chain bonus in it as well so every 4th mob or so is like you killed an extra monster or something.

They already increased FATEs significantly. They aren't going to increase them more.

Why aren't you queuing for dungeons, roulette, and doing your challenge log? You can even do 5 types of levequest for the ~80k bonus there too.

You have to que and run dungeons...that is the best way now. From 59 -60 I just rand Library and FATES in N. Thanalan inbetween que times. Then I stopped short because your first time through there are more story quests that carry you through to 60. Subsequent jobs just dungeons worked great for me...FATES while you wait still.

The time and effort required of HW fates is just little bit more ahead exp/hour wise when compared to ezmode N.thanalan fates. a slight boost maybe an additional 5% more exp from HW would make them the clear cut choice as it should be.

If you are levelling a Job after the first most of the FATEs in the zones from 52-60 give 40k to 60k and can be quite quick. The Dravainian Hinterlands has FATE trains on my server. Some give more. There are a couple of special FATEs around the place that can net you 100k+.

IF your running FATEs in NT after 52 your going to be going slower than doing it in the new zones.

As for your first class, I would suggest making sure you do your Duty roulettes and your daily hunts to help carry you there. The daily hunts offer between 100k and 175k per bill and don't take that long to do plus you get Hunt Seals.

The issue is that FATEs were substantially buffed in EXP rewards in a recent patch. Quests were untouched so that's why it looks unbalanced to you.

Personally I am surprised that they buffed FATE exp to surpass even that of dungeons. At Level 58, a Hinterlands FATE will reward about 55k exp for just a couple of minutes of your time and very little effort, especially if there is a whole bunch of people there it's not hard to just leech your way to Gold, and a party wouldn't even be required. For comparison, the final boss kill in the Vault (which I find people are struggling on even today) only rewards about 130k exp, after spending a good ~30 mins give or take just to get there. That doesn't even include queue times if you are a DPS, or wipes if your party is horrible. This actually seems unbalanced to me, from a Time & Effort vs. Reward comparison. These exp estimates include armoury bonus on an alternate job, by the way.

I don't remember the math exactly but running a dungeon is roughly 350k-400k...right??

Going to proper areas for HW fates means you don't have to level sync all the time and you get to use your full arsenal of skills.

Doing the library at level 59 with chain bonus, armoury bonus and rested bonus is an average 450-500k per 25-30 minute run. If you are a dps you can grind fates dyring for more exp uptime. Without rested or armoury id put it around your numbers (have not test without those two)Alternatively you can do fates in Hinterlands, which is around 45-50k without armoury bonus every 3-5 minutes, with some fates taking loner depending on duration it takes to kill etc.


Overall its about the same gain 15 minutes for 250k exp from fates, assuming each takes 3 minutes and yields 50k exp or 25 minutes for 400k

Yeah that my plan when i hit 59 so MSQ to Libray and just run it few times to get geared before i hit 60 since ALL gear at 60 from market are EXPENSIVE (HQ's) :(
