Will Displine of War/Magic ever get traits above level 50?

Just as the title stated. Am I the only one who find it strange that all traits stops at level 50? I mean all the crafting class has their traits go all the way to 60. But discipline of war/magic doesn't get any traits. Is this going to be another thing that will be forgotten like elemental resist and never get an update? I really hope not.

As for 3.0, nope.

For 4.0, maybe we may get new passives since adding too much active skills would be a skill cluster nightmare for most players.

Hopefully if they do add new passives some of those passive may help improve on their roles like new Passives that provide new effects for each Tank Job's Tank stance.

Crafting got no Traits. It got abilities up to 54. Specializations gave it more up to 60.

Gathering got Abilities and Traits.

Combat Classes got Abilities up to 60. No Traits.

You are only half right and it did feel very odd. But considering everyone shying away from ability bloat perhaps SE thought adding Traits was going to make that worse. (dunno how... but....)

the trait system is bad anyways. it needs to be abolished it adds nothing to the game.

Though I can't agree with you Mook, some traits are great. I mean how else are scholar and summoner get aether stacks without traits. Added to a skill like bullets?

That's because they don't add anything random to combat abilities. Something players of this game and most modern game seem to be scared/shy away from.

Well RNG is fine if it is handled right and if the reward is justified. If you are referring to Astrologist, their card buff is just way too underwhelming that the RNG cannot justify it.

I think Edwin made a decent point
Adding too many skills to combat classes in this game would be chaotic, so it is very possible for the next cap they could be adding traits instead, with maybe a skill or two

...or they could make more skills that replace some of the old ones so that you no longer need them.

I'd take that over fire spam any day. I'm not saying our current Black Mage doesn't work well enough, but they had to gut the elemental system out of the game to accommodate it which is a loss I feel heavily.

Personally, I'd just be happy with some extensions on existing traits. Aetherflow IV, Enhanced Mind IV, Maim and Mend III etc. Mind you, I also want them to replace Quick Stoneskin with Graniteskin, as it should be. I really REALLY hate SE for removing that, proving that sometimes changes to traits aren't always for the better.

I want more traits, it makes the cross class moves more unique on the actual class it was intended for.

traits add nothing, they are just upgrades to current abilities. Very few abilities are done well with traits because traits need to be buffing your abilities that are cross classed which make them more unique to you. Look at fracture it has a trait that makes it last 30, so warrior has a better fracture, great! but everyone can use it. But then you trait non cross class abilities and it doesn't do anything you could just make that the ability without the trait, they dont really serve a purpose. But thats also because they chose useless abilities for cross class, i mean skull sunderi s cross class why it doesn't make sense.
