They need to add more MGP rewards or more titles related to GS.

It's not just chocobo race and triple triad becoming a bit more obsolete, I actually enjoy chocobo racing...there just doesn't seem to be any reward for doing so, MGP is a dead currency at the moment, a hairstyle, a few glamour weapons that take a few days to obtain, Fenrir, which, despite being cool, we can't forget it's a ground mount (pretty useless...), and the Cloud Strife card...................seriously, not making the cut, and it's been like this for months now.
The rarest titles are attached to the cactpots, can I ask why? GS needs more titles and more rewards related to fun things (mostly chocobo racing and triple triad, not silly gates and cactpots...). If there was some sort of chocobo racing rare title such as "place 1st 2-5k times in R300", at least that would give us something to step back in. At the moment chocobo square is a graveyard <.<.

no suprise actually. that happens when devs put overkill RNG on a activity and fail to reward people on top of that. it becomes dead content or pretty close to dead except for a few tryhards. tt was destroyed by the new npcs and thier stupid random rules and oped decks.

also add the fact that getting 90 cards doesnt unlock free 4 star play unlike 30 and 60 cards did before makes 4 star cards useless forever mostly. very bad design desicion.

add reduced tournament prizes and payout for playing npcs aswell. another change to the bad for no reason.

The problem with the GS at the moment is really that none of it is actually any fun. Triple Triad and Chocobo Racing as mini-games are fun but the progression systems behind them are horrific grinds. All of the rewards for these mini-games come from the horrific grind aspect rather than the fun mini-game part so the majority of players just gave up when they realised how long it would take.

The only way to get anything much out of the GS is if you win the lottery.

theres more behind tt and chocobo race, than using them as mindless grind for fenrir

I'm still gathering MGP in hopes that one day more will be added to spend on them. After getting Kirin I've lost any desire to get the turtle or Fenrir, so right now I'm just building up.

When the expansion first came out, I went to gold saucer first thing to see the new shiny items they must have added! Nothing... was so disappointed T_T like seriously? Half the time I played was in gold saucer or out doing triple triad for points.

I believe 3.1 is when we are getting a new attraction among other things, so we just need to wait. I assume that is when we'll get new goodies in the shop too.

they said on a interview just a few days ago that a new "attraction" aka new from of rng based grind will come with 3.1 while this probaly wont help gs in the long run the other change they talked about was adjusting prices and mgp payouts on the saucer. this could mean gettin fenrir could become less of a grind than now.

ill wait for 3.1 details and then see.

My concern isn't about not having enough attractions (which are always welcome), what concerns me is that there is no substantial reward behind them. The rewards are all ground mounts (lol ground) and subpar glamour items (which are not even tradable so you can't even get gil out of them).
I don't even care about the grindy aspect of chocobo racing, I just want them to give me a reason to do so.
The problem behind not adding any real rewards behind these attractions is that once they get old (and they do it fast), people stop bothering with them.

So what "real" rewards are you seeking then?

Flying mounts (not gorund...), tradable glamour gear, tradable minions, tattoos, bardings, furniture.

Maybe even have a battle square where you could only spend MGP to participate and you were given a different currency (say battle square points), you could exchange it for stuff related to battle (megapotions, materias, food). Obviously, not the top tier stuff, they could put for example HQ megapotions (the regular ones are already sold by an NPC by 1k gil), materias IV when V really start being a thing and level 50 2 star food.
This would open the possibility to make gil through the gold saucer (even if we are talking about small amounts), so rolling its attractions would never be completely pointless.

You know as well as I do that they will never make GS items tradeable or have any item be sellable for gil in one form or another unless you want to have everyone trying to get the high priced MGP items and then sell it back in the market with a ridiculous mark up or have RMT get involved somehow. You only find the GS pointless because you can't make a profit off it. I find GS pointless because there's really nothing engaging to keep me interested.

There is a lot of expensive stuff gated behind specific things (unhidden maps have zillions of glamour pieces, materias V = just bubblypots) so I can't see why this would be different.
Also, the RMT excuse is getting old. Everybody knows there is a huge amount of people in this game that uses bots, so who cares anyway. As for the "just playing the minigames for the sake of playing them", trust me that gets old fast, you need something behind it, I don't care if it's in the form of small amounts of gil, titles, glamour items or mounts, but there must be something more than what there is now or once people get all the stuff in there they basically have no reason to keep playing the minigames and GS goes graveyard saucer automatically (if they don't get old after 100 tries, they'll get old after 1000, it's just a matter of time if you don't add some sort of long term goals there, for some people it'll be the possiblity to make gil, for others it will be titles, but please nothing related to stupid cactpots, that's NOT FUN, it's a freaking lottery).

Still no War axe as a prize. I still dont understand why they left some classes out of the weapon prizes.

I say no to making Gold Saucer stuff sellable for gil, however I am for more glamour items. The choice is far to few honestly.

The people who play legit and get screwed over by the cheaters. Knowing there is a problem does not make the presence of a problem acceptable. I know tons of people shoplift. Doesnt make it a good thing, nor does it mean "I dont care." because they're costing me money. Same with in-game cheats.

But this won't change, or at least, it isn't likely to do so... they are blatantly not being dealt with. Do we have to keep hurting ourselves "making this" or "not making that" because of possible botting when there will be botters regardless?

I would like to see a huge increase in glamour rewards, mounts and pets.

Our list is stagnant and needs a refresh.

I dont see a need to be able to sell the rewards but offering a lot more then they do now would be nice.

The lottery should be a few numbers drawn each week, not just one. One for the 1M, a couple more for chance to win 500k...a couple more for a 250k reward etc, would encourage more ppl to try . as it stands now we dont even make the 100 back so fewer and fewer are participating.

Its stagnant for a reason, whether its the grind, the rng or just plain lack of variety, add some pizzaz to it se, its already lost too much popularity, hard to get that back if left too long.

Yeah I was excited about the gold saucer and especially the return of my FF card game. But it's ultimately been so underwhelming. The chocobo racing is the only portion that has proper depth while the rest of the content seems glossy but with primitive mechanics.

TT requires a bit of thought but ultimately it's luck dominates everything, since if you don't get that card drop after 100 games or platinum openings, you're still no closer than when you began. Since your card ownership locked in once an item is used, there's nothing to substitute that source of pressure because you have very little to lose. It's become a numbing game. The only thing I support is not having full 4-deck cards since the climb to 90 is just too steep for most to willingly reach with current amount of cards available. It should be upped later so that 4stars have a purpose again but now is too soon.

The only ones that reward you for the remotest sense of skill and physical coordination are based off of timing. Only takes a minute to grasp them. No room for improvement from there. The reward of 10 MGP is nowhere near time-effective. The only saving grace is that the bots aren't hogging these no-initiative tasks because MGP is not gil.

GATES. They're okay. Half-hour wait for a game that might be over in less than a minute? They pay out maybe the value of one or two TT games? No. Thank. You.

I was all over TT for a couple of weeks but after that I only ever drop by for my mini-cactpots. It's okay for something to feel unproductive if it's fun, but instead they've used it as a vehicle to stretch out a time-sink as much as they thought they could get away with for people who are running down a clock on their subscription. It's less gratifying and more effort than even the standard course of the game.
