Ok , so today you hinted at a great sword class for the second time. The first time you actually showed a model for one and now you show a flamberge. And even without those image we were pretty sure we would get great swords in the future. With that said, please do NOT make this an extension for the gladiator class. Please. I do not want to be a great sword user and be a tank, I want to be a DD! I want to play a great sword class because I love swords but I hate being the tank, and I'm sure a lot of others here feel the same way.

Look at this sword. Now imagine it being a tank with it. Total buzzkill. I'm sure that everyone wants a great sword class with it's own unique abilities and job; and I'm not saying that you aren't making it a class, I just want to let you know, if it's an extension to Gladiator it will be lame.

...all in due time? There will be more classes in the future. I bet when they open ishgard we're going to see a lot of new guilds and npcs flaunting these new weapons (I want fencer still GDI)

Well so far, it seems the weapons for jobs are fairly the same as their class counterparts. I guess we'll see though!

Perhaps greatsword part of a job rather than class...
If Bard pic is any indication, jobs could have their own weapons, separate from classes.
In my perfect world:
GLA can only use shortswords: Gladius, Basilard, Xiphos, Hoplite
PLD = One-handed Longswords: Falchion, Damascus, Bastard
WAR = Greatswords: Flamberge, Claymore, Zweihander
RDM = Rapier-type: Epée, Sabre, Foil
BLU = Curved Blades: Scimitar, Shotel, Kopesh
THF = Daggers: Dirk, Misericorde, Rondel

They said that every class would have more then 1 job but seeing how things are changing and it does not seem later on wep=class we could see Great sword as it's own class or a part of GLA

You actually can DD as a Gladiator right now. Yes it does require cross-class skills but isn't what the armoury system is all about? You even have a few +atk bucklers to help you. Now with phys levels removed and static points allotment, it'll be a bit less viable, unfortunately.
Great Sword will most likely be GLA weapon. Expect those, if they are actually meant for a more DPS approach, to have the stats to be one the offensive side. Pop the right gear + abilities (and points once we'll be able to do some allotment again) and you'll be all set.
