Hahahaha Mch having a rotation that's funny. But seriously, that's it right there. Keep up Hot shot and lead shot, then 1, 2, 3 weaving in oGCD attacks when they come up, except for Rico, and Wildfire burst when Wildfire every 90sec. If your Wildfire is about to come up when a oGCD comes up and it won't come up again in time for Wildfire save it for Wildfire, and always save Rico, B4B, Hawk's Eye, and Raging Strikes for Wildfire.
Honestly mch "rotation," is but the faintest idea of a rotation. Keep up Hots and Lead, 1,2,3 combo, weave in oGCD attacks, and wildfire every 90secs. That's as close to a rotation as it gets.
Well got told my DPS sucks and too slow .... for dungeons now this pissing me off majorly i like doing fast decent attacks but this way to slow :( hopefully improves 50+ ...
That's because the person is an idiot, though honestly your not gonna do decent damage til your about lvl58 or 60. This is a class where you need access to your entire kit for the real damage, and then it needs to be kept in mind most people don't have their parses set up correctly to properly read mch damage, namely the damage of Wildfire.... And if your wondering why I'm bring Wildfire up so much, it's because it's one of these most important skills you have for damage. Mch doesn't function like other dps as we don't have a high sustained damage, instead we function off heavy bursts. Last time I checked, which was before I got my ravana weapon, my opener was a 1900 DPS burst.
Your damage should be equal to others, especially bard, even pre-50. Anyone claiming otherwise is bad at MCH.
Make sure you use cooldowns properly and make use of cross class skills. Also learn how to use wildfire.
Yeah just been using Hot Shot > Lead Shot > Reload > Split Shot > Slug Shot > Ressemble > Clean Shot then Quick Shot > Repeat till Reload comes back up
Split shot > Split shot > Split shot > Split shot > Split shot > Split shot > Split shot > Split shot > Reload ( When its not on CD ) > Split shot > Slug shot > Clean Shot > Split shot > Slug shot > Clean Shot > Split shot > Split shot > Split shot > Split shot > Split shot > Split shot > Split shot > Split shot > ...... Repeat. :P
Kinda what i been using though :)
Keep up Hot Shot and Lead Shot as much as possible.
Use Wildfire every time it's available, Rapid Fire I personally use right beside it.
It's not exactly simple, and yes there is a little RNG involved, but:
Split Shot = 1, Slug Shot = 2, Clean Shot = 3: 1-2-1-3-2-3
If you use Reload before it, the entire shot combo is guaranteed. If Reload comes off cooldown anywhere in the 1-2-3 rotation, you can transition into it. If by chance you need to refresh your Hot Shot/Lead Shot, you can use Quick Reload to force the 2 or 3 proc. Even without Reload, there is a chance for the entire combo to proc. Weave buffs in between shots as they're available.
If you're willing to take that chance, with or without Reloads, there is a chance to literally go 1-2-1- then 3-2-1-2-3-2. . . repeatedly stacking the procs for Slug and Clean. Crazy, yes. Complicated, at times. And guaranteed your luck will eventually run out, but I wouldn't say it if I hadn't tried it and seen some rather satisfying results with it.
You asked for simple, and I apologize for that.
This MCH thing REALLY doing my head in DPS is SO slow and yet i keep getting kicked out of PF groups (for Fates) at 53 cause my DPS :(
Im only 53 and so hard to keep up with rotation Hot Shot > Lead Shot > Reload > Split Shot > Slug Shot > Split Shot > Ressemble > Clean Shot > Slug Shot and do Split Shot until Reload/Ressemble pops up ...
It gets worse once you're weaving in global cool downs. The opening rotation isn't exactly easy.
Guess i should just give up on this class and prob game aswell due to my disabities (unless can be macroed ?)
Macroing for DPS is also bad.
Obviously wouldn't want you quitting especially if you enjoy the game. Could you give any info as to certain things you find you have a hard time doing? Maybe we can suggest a class that may be easier for you to execute.
It's that the rotation is hard for me to excute though cannot remember that much
But this my highest class i got and almost 54 :( worked to hard for this guy tbh
But YET i prefer RANGE dps than melee (easy for me to know where to stand and stuff) under 52 (before gauss barrel) dps was okay but still struggling :(
If you're playing Machinist you need to put this idea of a rotation behind you. Cooldown awareness is more important, because it's all about weaving those skills together. Your performance will rely on your resourcefulness.
And in all honesty, if you can't play a job properly I strongly recommend playing another job.
Link to the quote
Don't you think it is time to find a new job and move on ? you are unhappy with the job (from what I got from here) more than you like it, just a conside
I would moved on if i havent spend much stuff on BRD/ARC/MCH gears and still don't know what job to move on to ....
I find it pretty suspicious that you're getting kicked from FATE grinding groups for DPS. Sounds to me like there's something you're leaving out.
If someone can't get MCH, I dunno how they could manage with another job. MCH is brain dead boring.Quote:

I don't get it. You ask for rotation or performance advice, you got it. You dislike the job clearly and/or are unable to play it, and you get kicked for w/e reasons. Why do you still hang on onto it? Spending so much stuff already on that class, as you said, apparently doesn't take you any further, so why do you insist? Do you really need people to tell you what to do? You have all the choices, you don't need anyone to tell you what to play. Either you like the job or not, and clearly, you don't like this one. And liking the job makes learning it a lot easier.
Yeah. Fate groups = Bishop Turret + Barrel + Spread shot to tag all the things.
