[Request] Titan Egi to become a DPS Egi

Firstly I am extremely happy with the changes SMN got. We are in a very good position now so thank you for that.

But somehow I feel Titan Egi's been neglected completely from the game. You cannot pop titan out in dungeons cause it might take aggro away from tanks making runs difficult and making tanks life a lot harder and annoying. You cannot pop titan egi on primals or raids cause Titan can ruin the estrategia of the group.

My request is simple. I like titan but I would like to see him in action more often without crossing the tanks like I use Ifrit and Garuda merely all the time. I personally think the only way to make titan more useful is to turn him around as a full Dps Egi.

Just sharing

You cannot pop Titan in dungeons because it might take aggro away.

But you want Titan to be a full blown DPS egi.

I have missed the bus I think.

You can have your DPS Titan-egi when SE is done with the glamours system for your pets.

Aka taking away the enmity on its attacks and making them do more dps like ifrit...

I have to politely disagree. I enjoy having a tank egi for when I solo stuff, like daily hunts.

titan dps = potato dps

I agree with you here . I like popping Titan while soloing stuff like killing mobs or maps but apart from that Titan is basically a not-very-welcome egi by all means. Making it a bit like ifrit will be best maybe giving him a special CD to change tank stance to dps would be ideal.

Why would you want Titan to be a DPS pet when you already have both melee and ranged DPS pets? o.O

It's great to have a tank pet for soloing.

To op:

You do realize Titan is our tank pet yes? It's designed so we have something to take the aggro off of us in open-world content so we don't get beat to a mush yes?

It's useful that way yes?

They didn't give a date other than they are really working hard on getting this system out.

Completely agree with this statement. When I do play SMN, I love having my little Tank buddy Titan and my Healer Chocobo when I'm running solo...Makes me feel like "the gang's all here...".

Seriously though, glamours will be coming soon OP, then you can bring Titan to the front lines if you like! :)

But why?

Why would you bring a chicken mcnugget to the party when you could have (hopefully) a carbuncle?

I hope we all realize that when the glamour system comes and if carby is an option there will be little mutant three tailed multi-colored pikachus everywhere dont we?

I don't think Titan needs to be made a dps, I think he needs to be made better at tanking. He generates so little enmity the master will take hate just from placing their DoT's let alone using fester or deathflare. Then his AoE skill has too long of a recast to make him viable at holding AoE hate. And finally he has no provoke skill so if he dies there's no point resummoning him because he's never getting hate back.

His rock buster needs to generate more enmity, his mountain buster needs its damage and cooldown drastically lowered and enmity increased. And landslide needs to be changed from a stun add effect to a provoke effect.

It's not really so much enimity thats the problem. I mean it's always kind of been a problem with aoe, Topaz Carbuncle was a much better tank. Single target though it takes some work to pull aggro off of him. The biggest problem I see right now is Titan's just too squishy in HW content. To tank a single target fate you pretty much have to keep sustain on him constantly. the moment it drops, so does he, and forget Physick. Titan does need an all around buff. better aoe enimity would be nice, but I'd just be content to not have to constantly heal him to keep him alive.

Except it's not even needed at all for Daily Hunts, if anything it just cuts your dps.

But then.. he would be kinda bland and copy/paste.

What if Titan pet got turned into an aoe pet that would be good for trash clears then SMN could be even more OP for aoe!
