Bard / Mecha LB

Hey guys,

when square decided to give Bard and Mecha an Dmg LB i was totally happy.
But in the end our LB isnt really worth it..
Enemys can be pulled out of it and people (pvp) can simply dodge it.
The DMG isnt rly good eighter..
I expected an big aoe LB like an arrow rain. :/

You never realy use the LB in progress and in raids...

If I know SE, they will try to make situations where a BRD/MCH can limit. An (outdated) example would be the 2nd adds phase of turn 10 if you don't have LB3 ready. A bard or MCH could fire through both add sets, whereas a BLM can't fit both without tank finagling.

Tbh, I kind of hope they do >_> Because atm, the majority of the game seems to revolve around melee lb, which if you're not drg/nin/mnk, you'll never see your lb :/

It's actually useful in Savage Alexander Floor 1, y'know..

I would just appreciate if we could see the AOE zone as we cast it like the rest of the party can.

Caster lb3 does more and doesn't have trouble covering both of them, either after landing or splitting.

No positioning of the caster required either.

I've had plenty of situations where I've needed to use the MCH LB. While it's just the level 1 LB, it's particularly useful against the second boss of Sohm Al, because you can be sure to hit both the boss and the green slime if you take the time to line up, regardless of the distance between them. While it's not as common to need it as the melee LB by any means, I have been put in situations to use it either due to add positioning or party composition. In my experiences, it's less of a prime LB than it is an emergency LB when the party isn't handling adds well enough, and they're too spread out for the caster LB to hit them, but you still want to hit the boss. You might never need it if you have a static group running together that's good, but if you have that, you'll probably only have one or two situations to begin with that you need anything other than melee......

I use my tank LB all the time.
With the exception of Alexander Savage, I'll pop my LB if the last boss reaches 5% or so and a DPS hasn't done it.
In Turn 13 it was required for survival.

My group was way out of practice for Ravana Ex the other day, and needed the healer LB a number of times. It did the trick though!

Have more fun and use your LB more often! Just don't stop progress through difficult content with it though.

My only problem with our LB is, that it kinda covers smaller area than mage LB (when you realize how people usually pack mobs in every fight) and does less dps.
Don't think I will ever have a chance to use it out of PvP or if there will be 2BRDs or MCH in dungeon.

I would keep this LB for PvP and heal LB for raids, with heal LB I atleast had 1% chance I would use it.

For PVP, Shadowbind then LB!

Outside of PVP, I've got to admit that there have been times that I've missed having the old healer LB3...

It would be nice to have both types available! (They could have a healer LB by default, then have it change to DPS when you're in Minuet!)

Hmm guess I got lucky I've managed to use lb3 as bard a couple of times now in alex nm f1. Well was first time I've seen it at all so there was that. Still miss the heal lb though :(

Did use it in t10 for adds a couple of times.

And AxelDH was thinking the same healb lb and then under minuet make it a dps one... and healers could get the same for cleric and tanks the same for their stances. That way everyone get's a damage lb and a utility one.

My biggest concern about it, is the dmg that feels kinda low. :/
