It's out on Wednesday.
Gonna stick with 7 for the foreseeable future, at least until the verdict's out and launch issues are dealt with.
Windows 10 shouldn't really have any impact on the game. Since it works fine with Win7/8.1, I suspect barring any outlier cases for systems with drivers that explicitly aren't supported in Win7/8.1, that things will go fine.
7 is best :P wait a year 10's problems will be fixed. Or it might just work good out of the box. LOL
8.1 works better than 7 does :P and i was one of those 7 is best people for a bit myself.
It works just fine with everything I've been using, and I've had it since it the first technical preview iirc.
IMO it is better to wait untill people find out what are the real benefits of Windows 10 before you hop there.
I have windows 8.1 on my notebook and windows 7 on my desktop PC and honestly I still think windows 7 is better. The benchmarks are almost same while some graphics cards run 1% better on windows 8.1 some on 7...
Also getting windows for free seems a bit suspicious. There might be something behind it.
Like... you want to save more than 10 pictures into your folder? Buy our Windows 10 picture package. You want to put more than 10 songs into your playlist? Buy our Windows 10 song package.. :D
The laptop will get 10 because it has 8 (worst upgrade I ever made) the desktop which is what I game with will stay 7 for the quite awhile.
Posts like yours give me hope. Although there have been some complains about having to reinstall AMD drivers ...
Will probably wait a day and snoop the web to see the complains before taking the dive.
Using 8.1 now, it came with the PC, overall under the hood it's better than 7. The UI though ...
Win 10 is said to bring back the start menu, so ...
The game works fine on Windows 10. People have been playing with it for almost a year and the drivers are pretty stable. I have it running on bootcamp - no problems.
There have been official announcements that they are testing it and probably sometime during August they will officially declare it compatible or non-compatible. You have 1 year to do the free upgrade, there's plenty of time to wait for the official announcement unless you happen to schedule your OS upgrade to coincide with other things.
Even then, if you value stability in the game, I think it's worth the wait for the official announcement.
seems theres issues with nvidia cards as it has issues with drivers uploading
I used the Tech Preview for a while. The nVidia drivers that are supposed to support my card stopped working and I had to roll them back to a slightly older version, then Explorer's context menus crapped out, so I went back to the Win7 install I still had. Other than those things, W10 worked just fine for me while I used it.

I have a question. Currently I have two seperate hard drives (500 GB and 1 TB) the smaller one is the boot drive with all my normal files while the larger is just steam. Could I format the larger one, install windows 10, migrate my files from the small to the large, remove the small physically and set the 1 TB to boot from?
