Anybody else think they'll enter the Transition Art Contest?

I just found out about it but I'm already very excited! Feel free to post your own art even if it's just a work in progress; I always loving seeing what people come up with!

I might..need a good idea for it but...artbook. I want it.

Question though... Are we allowed to post work in progress? I have not read all the rules(didn't find any mention in what I read so far) but I do remember one contest(Casting call) that had a rule that the submissions had to be entirely original and had to remain private until the contest was over.

Not sure if it applies here! o.o

Since i have zero artistic talent... no I won't.

I'll be excited to see others entries.

I'm wanting to......been sketching out ideas and layouts. But I'm rusty on my drawing, so I hope it comes out ok.

If I could use screenshots put together artistically through photoshop I would love to. However, my drawing skills are rusty U_U

Damn it, I really need to read the Lodestone more often. I notice these things too late. I entered the Fan Fest Art Contest so of course I am entering this one too! I just have a lot of work though... I wonder if I'll have time. =(

I think they mean it has to be a work specifically done for the contest and not something you started doing and finished before the contest. I don't think they specifially meant for you to keep your work private, but I am not sure. For the Fan Fest Contest I only showed WIPs to close friends. I'd love to do that here but I am also not too sure about this rule.

I sure will be participating

btw, I don't see if there's an image pixel resolution size (aka, 1024x768 or something like that), so there might be interesting compositions with long vertical/horizontal images

I'm unsure if I will submit, but I will use the subject matter to draw something.

I would guess that stick figures are allowed; some of the funniest comics I know are all stick figures. ^_^

I wish EU regions could participate :(.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaargh-I haven't really changed at all! DX Like I've continued playing with so little change that the things that do come to mind are like, I got different eyebrows... I can't think of any change to illustrate because I haven't changed! T_T

I'm a little rusty on drawing and sorta curious what media will be common -- there's so much digital art these days, but I've always worked with copic or watercolor.

It might be fun though; my character isn't an epic sort so her entrance into Ishgard was certainly not grand.

Zomi, just draw yourself in the Thavnairian Bustier and torally rock it, then they'll have to give it to guys!

I have seen a few players here and there that have already finished work for the contest and have posted in on their tumblrs. @@

I might have... if there was a transition to speak of. I didn't change to an Au Ra, I didn't unlock any of the Extra Jobs... all I did was progress the story and get Bard to 60. /shrug

Same here....just finished the first main RR story (though I got HW)....don't have anything to draw :\

Something I'm just working on. Paladin new armors, Tyrfing sword and maybe a flying chocobo in the background :p

I didn't change much either. I mean... when I got my veteran fantasia I went back and tweaked maybe two minor things, and when I finally found my glamor I had it for like, five months (I JUST changed it).
So even though not much change has happened (still main the same job, even) I may try to draw/incorporate a "this is how I started, now look how far I've gotten" message with my drawing.

Kairam, hasn't really changed appearance wise from arr to Heavensward, but that doesn't mean he hasn't changed.

Heavensward brought a darker sense to so much. So my pic will be basically showing how in arr Kai was more carefree, and as Heavensward came into the picture things grew to be more grim, and emotional. At least that's how I see it.
