...And i thought it couldn't be worse

Red script came out , i tried to gather one of the item for the turn-in :
Collectability needed is , 470. With this new adjustment :

[3.0] The effect of perception on improving collectability for Level 60 items as a miner or botanist has been increased.

...it should be no problem.

So, opened up a node, used Impulsive Appraisal, poof, 103. My perception is 705(or was it 707 ?) by the way.
I remembered it is exactly the same number before 3.05 patch.
Did I miss something here ?

Next i looked at the fishing section. The fish needed for turn-in was a turtle called Stupendemys.

If anyone ever tried to level a CUL desynthesis to 180 max, you probably know about this little guy. Among i180 fishes, he is one of the easiest to get.

When mooching , you get a LOW chance of getting Cobrafish, which is , useless of course. I'd guess the rate you get Stupendemys is about 80% , since i can usually fish 10-15 of them without getting any Cobrafish.

Aaaaand I just spent about 30 minute fishing, this was what i got :

Cobrafish *7 , Stupendemys *1
And of course, not enough Collectability for the single catch.

Good job, SE, good job.

But this is just my ranting, if I got anything wrong oh please point it out .

First thing i tested also same hits as before, SE just keeps breaking my heart ; ;, just have to go back to the discerning eye + methodical x3 method

I have tested it from 600 perception to 710 perception.
Impulsive appraisal has consistently hit for 103 with absolutely no changes with perception and food.

You're not missing anything. I suspect either a bug or this works only on legendary nodes in which I currently do not have access.
If the last part is true then SE should adjust the patch notes to reflect that difference between lv60 non legendary and legendary.

I doubt that is the case though.

tested on legendary its the same

So seriously how is this suppost to work now? Just tried a legendary note and got only to 381 collectability with eye and methodical x3. Level 60 Gear melded for 602 gathering/Perception and HQ tools.

Need to be able to hit 115 without eye then you get 172 with

Yeah but how. Before on a normal note like Morels had no problems getting 459 and 3 items. legendary note can only get one item with 389 so i guess better focus on the worse level 60 notes? And btw 8 scripts per turn in is a bloody joke xD.

they just made it easier to reach the cap
probably so everyone could gather red scripts unmelded

@572 Perception I hit 113 on both lvl 60 Adamantite Ore and lvl 59 Cuprite

//my bad, they are the same, but still.. D:

You need absurd perception for that. 700+ to have it hit the cap. I think mine only hit for like 110 with 684 perception.

damn so those notes are for later when we have the new gear. Adamantite i can get around 2 with 519 or so collectability.

WOW, they added cobrafish to that pool, good change indeed, so was extremely easy to get stupendemys until yesterday night, fortunately i get enough to have pushed my desynth to 180 from 170. It was 100% chance to get it b4 (obviously if you used right your fishing skills), and like 90% sucess rate (the fish away never disappear), and also it was 2k to sell into npc.

There is a hard cap of 115 for Methodical Appraisal. They did not raise this cap. This means an unaided Impulsive Appraisal is capped at 103.

Working as intended.

So based on what I'm reading on various threads, you have to have the folklore books to get red scrips?

No, you can farm Adamantite Ore, Chyshal Greens (sp), and Electric Eels or whatever they're called.

so im hitting the normal cap, but have heard someone say he is able to hit "discerning methodical 181" on adamantite instead of 172. He has 591 perception. I'm thinking BS but maybe a bug? Anyone with lower perception levels getting similar results?

Yeah that's a load of BS. Hard cap for that skill rotation is 172.
