The important question: do u like the look of ur esoteric armor?

Well do you? I like the white mage orison gear and just glamour the head to something else. Not fond of that hood cap xD.

I'm pretty happy with the Summoner's even though I haven't seen the full set together on my character yet. It looks like there's a gap between the skirt and the top of the boots where you can see thigh skin, even on males - which I actually kinda like tbh.

On a sidenote, I will have like, 5 horns when I'm done with the set. So many horns. the horniest of all the SMNs.

I like pretty much all of the new AF designs except sch which makes me so sad. I really can't stand the look. :/

The paladin one is everything I wanted and more. The dragoon one is much better then the last set. Scholar is hilarious. The dark set is iconic. As for the rest, they are all really close to the old ones. Not bad just wish they were more unique.

I'm gutted, the scholar gear looks like a mini dress made from crow feathers. It reminds me of the little coat with the orange tie hagrid wore when he went to court in Harry Potter. I'm going to end up glamoring it because I can't stand how homely I think it looks. I am excited about my astro gear and summoner gear though. Whm, ast, and summoner stuff looks the most appealing to me out of all of them.

The SCH armour is quite eccentric and steampunk-esq and i quite like it. That being said, i probably wont be changing my glamour......:).

Yeah sch looks very 19th century london. The whm robe is a more sleeker looking version of the healer set body which isnt a bad thing.

I wonder what they were thinking with blm tho...the hat is so ugly xD

i like the summoner, paladin, monk, and the dark knight... i just wish they would give us a form of history on the gear like they did with the original artifact gear...

I don't like robes.
Basically i feel like with these robes that look like curtains or bedsheets, i will be running for the rest of my life with low level "warewolf" healer armor from PVP. I've been running around with that look for a year already, it looks like a bit maybe aristocratic clothes. i want clothes and not robes/curtains or nifty potato bags. if i could use glamour to use looks from other armors i would be running probably with heavy armor look.

The only part I really like about the scholars is the top hat. 'Cus lets face it, that looks epic. rest of it ... meh.

I'm of the exact opposite opinion of the SCH gear. I think it's the best of the lot.

Back at the preview video, I really liked most of the armour designs. My only gripe are the head pieces. The SCH and WHM headpieces make me cringe. I'm pretty okay with the AST head piece though.

AST - LOVE the entire set including the veiled hat - I will own the whole set
WHM - like the set, minus the nun hood
SCH - overall, the set will probably be decent, except I loathe the hands - if I get this set, they will be glamoured to the claws of the beast
BLM - looked better in the Benchmark video, but now looks bulkier than I thought it would be - the staff however is amazing
SMN - besides AST, this is easily the best of the bunch - probably will hide the horn, but the rest is gorgeous

I only wish I could see the entire WHM set on my character while previewing it (minus the nun hood). Overall love the look and the fabric seems to have a nice shimmer to it on the WHM set, and I adore the AST set, as well (not sure how these 2 sets will look on male characters, though). I also find it kinda interesting that WHM get the AF2 staff they have when paired with a nun-like hood - seems kinda a funny juxtaposition ^_^v

The staff makes sense to me as the woman on it looks like a female angel you would see on some marble statue in a fancy church. So, makes sense as the WHM gear looks holy/priest/nun like.

The boob staff. Holy hell. Could they tone those things down just a little? Gonna poke an eye out.

Haha, I like the Seraph Cane ^_^o And pretty much all of the WHM except the hood. SCH is an abomination... I like all of the AST pieces except maybe need to glamour something over the ball gown...

My response to my FC about sch was "thank god for glamours." I like whm, smn though, oh man that convinced me to gear my summoner. I don't like the horn so much nor feet for smn but I can easily glamour those away and it looks epic.

They look good though WHM is a little boring. The hood doesn't look as good as I thought it would and I'm bored of wearing white robes as a Healer.

I really love it the AST AF gear. Next week ill get the chest piece and the next week the hat <3333

Hah! I am so thrilled that I am not the only person who has been calling it the Boob Staff. :P

I don't think AST AF2 looks bad at all. It's just that personally, I don't dig using what looks like a heavy robe in battle. I like being lighter, even if it's a robe, I will deal with it as long as I feel light in it. XP
It's pretty, I just feel like I'm going to a ball or something, haha.
I dig the hat and the boots though!

The WHM one I like a lot, but will the au 'ras horns stick out? I tried my old Dreadwyrm head piece and the horns stick out and I think it looks kinda bad. :x

Not going to lie. I almost made the decision to skip getting the weapon first so I could get the chest and feet just for the look.

Not a huge fan of the hood. The rest is great though.

WHM= I like it, the hood not so much but the rest is okay. The weapon is my favorite of all the things though. I really REALLY LOVE the Seraph Cane. My favorite piece out of allllllll.
SMN = So much skin, I love it. I just love it.
BLM = I feel like the hat is a bit too much curved and generally a bit too big. This time around I like the mask which is attached to the hat. The rest looks pretty good. No Robe!!! I really like it overall.
AST = Not exactly my style. It's not ugly or anything. I like it in general just not my cup of tea.

WOW those arms remind me of Barret from FFVII. I loathe this set. Thank god you can glamour it. I'll try to get 100 seal rock wins and glamour the field commander set over it. The hat piece is the only thing that is not worth puking but I'll still glamour it. Not to mention the WWE champion belt.

I looked at all of them and then realized I went with the wrong classes again x)
Sadly, I find BLM horrible ._.
Most people are just happy to finally get something that isn't a classic robe, but honestly, even if they got a bit boring, at least they had style xD

Not gonna complain about AST, I love it <3

BRD is...meh. Not bad, but not that special either.

For the ones I love but won't play the classes - SMN. God, that looks SO amazing ;_; Why oh why does it have to be on the one class I'll never ever play?
WHM is really lovely too, but I dropped it in favour of AST .-. But at least I'll get it eventually when I level up WHM.

With PLD and SCH I'm glad I dropped those classes, because...the new AF? Ew.

If you were into crafting, a tophat is nothing new though. And that raven feather dress...urgh .-.

I'm grabbing ast body tuesday even though I know that not getting the weapon first is a inefficient way to go about things. Once I have the body the rest can wait, although I was surprised that they put some effort into the pants considering the body's a big old dress.

Whm is the preferred armor of sci fi time traveling white mages from the future.

i love the white mage af2 gear. the seraph staff is awesome and is something i would expect for white mage. the only thing i don't like about the staff is the big shield thing behind the actual seraph. it kinda ruins the look of the staff. i would've preferred if the staff only had the seraph on it. it would've looked so much more distinct and eye-catching. that big red gold shield just gets in the way of the staff's true feature.

anybody remember donald duck's ultimate weapon from kh2? save the queen? it was this beautiful staff with angel wings. i would love it if white mages had a staff like that. this seraph staff comes close to it but that damn shield...

I hate the look of the Scholar stuff. Like, when I think "Scholar," I think "battlefield tactician" (something that AF1 perfectly captured with its merger of academic regalia and military accoutrements), not "steampunk cosplayer."

Regarding the SCH look - I actually like some Steampunk, one of my favorite niche comic characters is Steampunk.

However, they took it way over the top IMO. The coat literally has a fire hose on it, with books surrounding the lower half of the coat. And don't get me started on the humungous barrel arm pieces.

AST outfit is amazing. I am going for the chestpiece first because of that haha. :) I don't usually have my headpieces showing because I hate how they hide your hair and face so much usually. So I'm on the fence about that one.

Anyone care to show the different ones? Pics or links? Can't play for two weeks myself :( would love to see astro and sch ones

I hate that most of the gear look better on females than males. Cant they have 2 versions of the set that automatically adjusts depending on your character's gender? All of them i'd glamour out in a heartbeat.
