Have anyone figured out the stats weight for healers? Ast in patircular.
Mind > Crit = Det > SS
Wildcard: Piety.
My reasoning beyond mind is that crit & det are the only modifiers to our heals. Stacking det is fine, but since AST has no Fey Illumination or Divine Seal, AST is going to really want to maximize what they can get per GCD. At least that's my reasoning anyways.
In addition, if an AST ever goes in Nocturnal Stance, Crit Shields are always better than non-crit shields loaded with DET.
Spellspeed is increasing HoT heal, so you might want to look into it if you play in Diurnal.
When I picked up AST at level 30 my immediate thought was Crit--spamming my tiny heals, that sudden crit would be fantastic. Further along I'm seeing more usefulness out of Crit.
From what i heard, Spell Speed doesnt really increase hot heals by all that much. Not enough to warrant stacking it anyways. The majority seem to favor stacking crit though.
So far, I have favored Crit and Spell Speed on AST (with still trying to load up on piety too).
Crit & Piety > Det & SS
SS might replace Piety if Ewer is a game changer.
From day one playing it I aim also for Crit/Piety build.
I am a scholar main so maybe thats why I go crit > det as even my whm has a semi crit build (still level 50 470 crit). The need for MP seemed to me obvious as I need to spam bene 2 a lot, while on sch Adlo spam is just bad playstyle and a huge waste of mp except for the use with ET (my opinion).
I just love when ED crits and the current weapons serve my opinion even tho I didnt get yet to get my AST the 170 weapon and am still on Library globe.
I consider getting a new weapon and try AST after changes in T13 for today's raid. I been as level 55 in there before (got queued up while fateing and went oh well lets try) and I think AST didnt make the healing much worse.
AST is still new ill be toying with diff builds but crit piety for now it is for me
But does it really matter? As esoteric healer gear is full of piety/spellspeed from what i saw, not like there really is much choice.
I didnt check the eso gears but from what I seen sch wouldnt go crit aswell and thats no-no-no-no-way. Ill focus to upgrade critpieces > rest and in case the old and new pieces both have no crit those will be right after. For me the rest only gets replaced if I am strongly in need of the additional HP or mind and for the HP I would even rather see what I can get crafted.
looks rather like a piety focus....
Crit is always exponential, remember that. The more you stack (and some jobs can stack over 800CRT @ i210) the greater effect it'll have.
Same for Spellspeed, its exponential the more you stack, but if AST is running into MP issues (I don't know much about AST) then of course, it'll have a negative impact over the entire encounter. Also! SS scales DoTs/HoTs approximately 0.0001 per SS from 354, which is basically hardly anything.
Determination will always be a linear stat and nothing changes this. Its value on your Heals and damage will increase however as your primary (Mind) and Magic Damage stats increase.
The issue is whether you want a constant flow of heals or prefer being an RNG healer. At i210 with a Dragoon in your raid, your approximate CRT will be 16-17%. Weights wise, it'll always be Crit > DET > SS, but you may opt for Determination if you don't like that 16% RNG and/or if it is too risky.
At this point in time, are you guys going for your af2 upgraded gears or are you going for Alex savage gears?
overall I found this looking at each healer's unique esoteric set with the shared belt/jewelry-
ast esoteric gear has 7 pie bonuses, 4 crit, 5 det, and 4 ss
sch esoteric gear has 7 pie, 4 crit, 4 det, and 5 ss
whm esoteric has 7 pie, 5 crit, 5 det, and 3 ss
the whm weapon is pie/crit and the sch/ast weapons are pie/ss.
the Gordian weapons whm is pie/ss and sch/ast are pie/det
normal alex gear is 7 pie, 4 crit, 4 det, and 5 ss
savage alex gear is 7 pie, 5 crit, 4 det, and 4 ss
although each 'set' has 7 pie bonuses, they aren't necessarily on the same bits of gear. You can probably get the stat weights you want with a combo of alex/esoterics gear although the base esoterics gear made me giggle at sch especially-not getting the most crit.
Crit if you play Nocturnal, Det if you play Diurnal.
MND > Crit > DTR (or DET whichever abbreviation you prefer) = PIE > VIT > STR > DEX > every other stat > SpellSpeed..
At the current equipment level you can't stack spell speed high enough to make any significant differance in HoT ticks ( at least thats my opinion^^).
On a side note: No, I dont prefer STR, DEX over SpellSpeed, it's just an hyperbole. Just to prevent dem " OLOLOLOL LOOK DIS N4P HE GOING STR WITH HEAL"... xD
P.S.: havnt heard much positive resonance of DTR as well, apparently no good calculation. (At least @ 180 - might change later on).
I would think that over time Determination will become more valuable for AST. We're at comparatively low Mind/Weapon Damage values right now, which diminishes the strength of Determination, but given that AST doesn't have any specific mechanics that incentivize Crit (as say, SCHs and BRDs do), as we get higher base Mind and WD, Determination will probably overtake it. That hunch is based somewhat on assuming WHMs benefit most from stacking Determination as they always have though.
to be honest i would say that Det/ Spell speed > Crit due to these reasons
1) Spell speed increase our cast speed but also increase our DOT damage we have 3 dot in total they hit hard in cleric stance
2) DET increase our heals and our dot/hots
3) Crit..... it just crit only increase dmg/heals by 50% when they crit
i for one and going spell speed and det... i dont want to be too reliant on crits to heal....And those who r running into mp problems Stop using Luminiferous Aether at 80% + mp.... i gringe everytime i see an AST blow this skill @ near full mp i just want to slap them in the face and dont spam benefic II or using the procs.... if ur tank is takin a beating hes just a bad tank benefic and aspected benefit with aspected halios with Time Dilation with this ur tank is getting a 1k+ HoT + 2.7k+ benefits = 3.7k every 2 sec... if u pull BOLE put that on him first b4 using Time Dilation...... and if ur tank still taking a beating after this...... he is bad and not using cooldowns or pulled to much and expect u to baby sit him through the damage........ with this i can go DPS in cleric stance and not worry to much if my tank get low ill turn of cleric stance and use Essential Dignity renew my Hots and turn back to Cleric stance..... and if my dps is taking damage and my tank is below 60% ill throw in Synastry and heal my dps which would heal my tank also......i seen ALOT of bad AST when im leveling MCH or SMN majority dont use there cards and throw them on the wrong players or using there tool kit wrong
