Whats the best way to get exp past level 30. Mobs give me such low exp that it seems like it would take a week per level now. I need 38k exp for level 31 which seems like a pretty daunting task.

Could try and get a party to go to Toto-Rak and xp, or duo at the beastmen settlements. Of course there's always leves, which you can either solo or team up with someone to get better xp.

Definitely do leves every cycle. You can even solo them for good sp. Make sure to do it at the highest difficulty that you can finish it in under 5 minutes at. Generally a good sweet spot for the best sp. You can also get together with a group of people doing leves, enabling your group to put them on 5 stars and finish it quickly as well - giving a larger sp bonus.

I do it through leves, and save my Guardians Aspect for the leves that give marks for my chosen class (it helps even out the regen time with the usage time)

I totally agree. Even if you just find somebody else, then do each other leves together at 5 stars, that's at least 16 leves each cycle. You'll easily get a lvl every 36 hours. And don't forget to do as many behests as you can, they're like the gold mine for exp gaining. ;)

Ranks 30-40 go much, much faster than 20-30 do, in my experience.

Group up every time you possibly can and you will fly through the 30s. You should easily be able to pull in 20-25k sp/hr in a good party.
Outside that as others said do behest.
Leves should be about a level per reset. -

I've been leveling archer and I get more than half a level every leve cycle, on leves alone. Just today without any guardian's favor I got around 30k SP in about an hour of leves.

I can only do the guild leves on 1 star the level 30 ones. I barely can do them I almost die every time, anything above 1 star won't work
I have no clue on where you even start behest like someone posted. Where do you pick these up at? -

make sure you do behest every hour. Solo with leves i was getting like 60-70k every reset. you rank up way to fast now but its still cool.

I been to spoiled from FFXI leveling where you can pretty much go in abyssea get like max level in about 6 hours. First every half hour there is a behest at the camp Sites. For you if you can get one or 2 more people to go would be Treespeak in Grid Across from Emerald moss. Also, do the leves. Do you have a LS? If you don't try and speak/PT with more people. Do the best you can and someone will invite you. I have been doing leves with my LS mates as a Con and using there R40+ leves. It's fun and we all have a great time. granted, my LS is out of the norma and we do a LOT of stuff together. It's social not HARDCORE ENDGGGAAAAMMMMMEEEE! We're all here to have fun so we do. :D
Also, reach out to the Lodestone folks. I have recruited about 10 people just from posting a quick link to our LS when I was invited. If you ask for one, you will get a lot of responses if your server is populated enough. I see people request LSs all the time here.

I found if you just stand near a behest battle warden at a Camp people will invite you to group with them for it.
I did it the other day with a couple of Japanese players. None of us actually spoke to each other because of the language barrier, but it was sort of an unspoken agreement that I was the healer, one was the tank and the other was the DD, and we breezed through it pretty easily.

At rank 30, you can slip in some of the rank 35 sites such as Cassiopeia Hollow and Cedarwood (I'm more a fan of Limsa spots at this point) at 1 star, then doing the rank 25 site leves with 3~5 stars. AS you get used to the leves, you'll start to know when you can solo the leves at higher difficulties or if it's just better to get the leve done with and out of the way.Quote:

I'm not a fan of Ul'dah's Nanawa Mines (rank 30~35), due to its corridors and limited routes making these leves more time consuming and causing you to pass by more aggressive mobs.
Can't say about other routes, since I've only taken one adventurer class over 30 and even then, don't log in every day/week.
edit: Ah! And sneaking in a behest every hour or so. But whatever you do, it's probably better to do it with allies of similar levels. -

It's surprisingly fun to play a PUG with only PUG skills 'cos you rely on stacking evasion to spam Haymaker and throw a Conussive Blow in whenever you have the spare TP, along with using Second Wind then your health gets low.
