.....?????????? Please remove the Dravanian bagpipe music from Azys Lla.

Why is the Dravanian bagpipe music playing at the entrance of Azys Lla near the aetheryte? Bagpipes and a sci-fi alien-esque landscape don't mix.

The music/environment mismatch is cringeworthy. Mute-worthy. And ridiculous. Keep the bagpipes for the mountainous regions where they add mystique.

What if the Allagan Empire turns out to be a VERY Scottish/Gaelic sci fi empire? Scottish Space travellers still need their pipes.

You don't like bagpipes? They add an aire of mystery to the landscape. More of Azys Lla will open up to us within patches, so the music may have a reason for why it's like the way it currently is.

I have to say I felt the same when I first reached Azys Lla. You have that epic cutscene and arrive at the outpost only to be greeted by the same outpost theme it plays everywhere else in the expansion... It doesn't fit the area at all.

I do, but not for a sci-fi landscape. And I think it's more likely they were just being lazy and reusing Sanctuary music.

You only say that because you grew up with sci-fi having a different sound to it. If you grew up with bagpipe sci-fi this would be normal.

I might be in the minority, but I absolutely hate the bagpipes. The rest of the music track is great, but that bagpipe intro is just grating. I normally keep the volume loud in general, so that shrill music is just all the more jarring. It feels totally out of place anywhere they use it. It doesn't match with any of the other great music in HW. I've actually turned off the bgm entirely because it's such a pain to toggle it every time I zone into Idllyshire.

It sounds like silly marching music, which is definitely not the feel sanctuary music should have.

Agree, the bagpipe music is epic, but it has no place in Azys La.

It's a little-known fact that haggis is actually an engineered organism created by the Allagans.

Then, you have the clash with the music when you step away from the aetheryte, so it's obviously you're not supposed to have a Scottish/Gaelic atmosphere in this area at all. They were just being lazy and reusing Sanctuary music.

I personally don't really like the bagpipes music either.. My mind just perceives beautiful mountains with peaceful and serene music and not the current music. That's just my opinion though, but yeah, it doesn't really fit well with the theme for Azys La.

The bagpipes are used for areas that are considered "beast" tribes (or really anything not of the human races) as far as I can tell. So Moogles, Gnath, Vanu, Dragons, Goblins, and the Nodes all have this song in their respective towns/cities.

It fits in the other parts of the game where it plays but Azys La? Nah

meh... I'm mostly Scottish (Grandmother's maiden name was MacLaren), so loving the music myself. Used to hang out in Sandy a lot in XI...never got tired of it's themes.

Really appreciating the sort of Gaelic themes they've added. It's about time too...how long have we been using things like Nordic names for weapons, dragons, etc. in games now? It actually seems kind of fitting in a way....

That music just doesn't fit Azys Lla's rest area...

Not going to lie I thought the whole zone was the same song I had been listening too for hours and turned it off for techno... Then when I went back for a hunt I noticed that it changes from the town. Kinda caught be off guard.

Indeed, Peter Capaldi, and he even uses his own accent...however, so far, I don't think he's as well liked, and besides, he's scary, can you imagine saying anything negative about anything Scittish to this new Doctor?

OP doesn't want to remove bagpipes from the soundtrack. He wants to remove the default hamlet music from the Aetheryte station in Azys Lla, which doesn't fit the environment at all.

hehe.. yeah.. took a while for him to grow on me. But I love his accent...my friends could always tell when I missed a couple episodes and binged watched them. Had a habit of bringing my accent back to the front again (been in the south for 30+ years, so it's mostly gone now--until I start talking to relatives and such). Drives them nuts because they can't half understand me.

meh.. never bothered me one bit. Considering the chain of events it seemed kind of appropriate actually. As mentioned earlier, we may find the Allaghans are tied in quite closely to myths/legends of olde--some very ancient Gaelic stuff has been brought into focus with the new story arch.

OP makes it sound like you are forced to spend 100 hours in the Helix, when in reality you will probably spend less than 2 hours until 4.0, completing objectives and teleporting in then promptly flying out for hunts. Just a few steps and you can be jamming to that crazy, sexy, and appropriate BGM

Its friendly hub music, for friendly malfunctioning ADSes.

Lol, similar story here, except I'm a natural mimmic with accents and lost my Scottish on upon exiting the aircraft on this side of the Atlantic. It comes back when my folks are on the phone, or am watching Dr Who, also used to happen when watching Craig Ferguson, but he moved on...
