Petition to Boost Gained Exp Post 50!

Okay so I understand they wanted 60 to take a bit to get to for your first job. But for those of us who like to play multiple jobs it would be really nice to get exp rates boosted in some way. So I'm thinking we should petition some ideas and hopefully get some feedback from SE.

-Proposed Changes-
Armoury Bonus 100% (just like 1-50)
Challenge Log (proper scaling 50-60)
Roulette Bonus (proper scaling 50-60)
Guildhest Roulette Bonus (reward should be something closer to what Trial Roulette is)

Reasoning the amount of experience required to level from 50-55 isn't so bad but getting to 55-60 the required amount really goes heavensward. Spamming a dungeon 5-10 times for a single level is truly ridiculous. Considering leveling 15-50 you could easily gain a full level or majority of it in a single dungeon.

Honestly just spamming vault with rested + FC + food bonus is super good exp/hour

The point is that 50-60 is supposed to take as long as 1-50, so of course it takes longer to get through each level. Or in other words, Working as intended.

I think its fine as it is, sure it takes a while but thats the point. Would be a bit stupid if you get a level each dungeon. Then you will hit level cap super quick and then complain that there is nothing to do. I just got my 2nd level 60 this weekend. Which seems decent enough.

Some guy I know already has 8 level 60s... although he is a college kid who dont have work and is pretty much playing 24/7 during summer break.

Ahhh those days of having nothing to do or responsibilities. Must be nice. 8 60's... jesus. I'm working on my 2nd for now but taking longer because I cant decide if I want my Summoner or Black Mage to get up :(

Vault is good exp till 60? Might have to try this. I enjoy running dungeons for exp when its good exp.

It is because you can blow through it so fast and has easily aoeable trash that gives good exp.

EXP is fine right now

i haven't seen any issues yet. The only part that sucks is the 50-51 grind. NThan is just horrid.

I grind using daily roulettes, hunt marks level 1-2, and levequest level 50, plus mixing a few FATEs in between. You should get to 51 in no time if you just play casually doing that instead of grinding. It is not instant BAM, but the variety keeps it interesting than doing the same thing over and over.

Well leveling in 1 or 2 dungeons post 50 is bit extreme. But having to do the same dungeon for like 8+ runs for a single level is a bit much. I do the roulettes to help break it up a bit and the Clan Hunts but still its painful.

I agree that the roulettes could use a bit of a bump.
Other than that I just think that what is needed is more options.

Grinding dungeons is fast enough but when that's pretty much all you can do it kinda sucks.

Took me about a week to get to 60 SMN/SCH from 50. And it was my second class that I got to 60, that's shorter than it did to get it from 15 to 50 (I got it to 15 for WHM before getting it to 50).

EDIT: However it did take longer to get MCH from 30 to 60, which the only reason was because I was taking my time with the MSQ. It probably would've taken a lot less time if it weren't for that.

And it takes as long as you would think. Optimal lower level dungeons take 2 runs to level you up once from 15 to 50. Since you start at level 15, that's 70 runs. I've done the math with the new dungeons, and it takes about 7 runs (with food) each to level you up when you're in the optimal dungeon for your level. 50-60, 10 levels times 7 runs each. That's 70 runs total, meaning you're running the same amount of runs you were when you were leveling from 15 to 50. Because we have less dungeons to level in right now, it just seems like it's taking longer than it actually is.

I completely agree. I pretty much spent 1 weekend just getting all of my classes from level 50 to 51 so I can dungeon grind and not go back there. There is soo many people botting on my server there.

Same, I pretty much do all the daily roulettes and hunt marks 1 to 3 and that usually gets me at least half a level. This is slowly getting me to level 60 on my Alts.

Even if they don't want to boost dungeon experience I would at least love them to bump the Daily Roulettes to make a big dent in our exp bar once a day. I mean we can only get the bonus once why not make it more worth doing besides to give us a break from doing the same dungeon 7-10 times.

I level alts as other posters have said, I do the roulettes, Daily hunt marks .. maby the odd fate if I'm near it and people are working on it. Then I go back to my gathering / main jobs and potter along. The way I see it is I have a least a year until the next xpac so I feel no great need to have everything to 60 right away. Currently I already have 3 jobs to 60 and working on gathering / other jobs too. i tend to flit around when playing so I have a few jobs in the 51-54 range already.

I did have everything to 50 before heavensward, it'll just take a little time to get them all back to cap. I guess you could FATE grind now that FATE exp is nicer, tbh though I've way had enough of that crap that I had to step away from FATEs and just accept I'll level a little slower /shrug.

I'm sure in a month or so when I am leveling my 6th or 7th job I'll hop back on the FATE bandwagon to push through them. There are alot of options for leveling, some are slower than others ... but thats your choice. Do whats fun and just level as it comes. Its a game, stop stressing it. If your FC / static really needs X-job level'd on your character, pound FATEs / dungeons. Other than that just go with the flow and enjoy the game.

It would be nice to have a Heavensward roulette. The old low level stuff is, for me, no longer that enjoyable, just because I dislike getting to level 55, having a nice set of abilities and whatnot only to be level synced back to Sastasha and only having a couple of abilities.

I started playing just over a month ago. I did sch from 1-50, did every story patch quest pre heavenward, then levelled AST from 30-60 all within my first free 30 days of gametime. During this time I also spent around a week trying to figure out how and where I wanted my character and did almost all gathering/crafting to 15, also did thm 26 and whm 34. A lot of the time I was without a free company and the one I joined is too small to keep exp boost up for a long period.

Counted 10 days from when I started my first patch 2.1 quest till when I hit lvl60 on AST

My opinion: I was told early how slow levelling is, but honestly? This wasn't slow at all.

Like others said, do different things to break it up. I do hunts / fates / roulette. Problem with people wanting to level multiple jobs is they want it instantly. I'm on my second job it's 57, no rush, taking it to 60 won't take long at all..then it's off to PLD and WAR.

It doesn't take long, just doesn't come as quick as others would like. When I take it casually, the time just goes by and I'm 60. When I grind though, that's when I start to feel like things are slow and I want them to be done now now now so I can go back and do the same thing. That's the point when you are burnt on the game and need to take a break. It's going to be there when you get back, go craft or gather. I took 3 days off so far, my friend just came back after a week.

Don't like to craft? Gather, don't like to gather or craft, start breaking it up into different XP methods. Feel like "ugh all I'm doing is the same rotation over and over, just doing it on a different location"..take a break? Let the joy of the game flow back through you and then when you play you're having fun and not a chore of leveling. Then again it's different things that people do or don't enjoy. This is just what I do.

Is spamming Vault actually really good xp? I just did that dungeon for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed it so that would make me happy if it was a legit way to grind some xp.

I agree, for the lower 50 the roulette were able to get you a decent chunk of your level, around the mid 50's it gives a little under half.

Totally Agree, instead of renaming the low level roulette to leveling roulette. I think they should have added a few more different roulettes.

Low level will remain the same and will be for the level 15 to 49 level dungeons.
High Level Roulette should be renamed "Level 50 Roulette" or "ARR Roulette", since honestly its pretty much just all the level 50 roulettes. They should also give XP from killing the mobs in the dungeons.
They should make a new roulette for High Level which is for all the HW leveling dungeons (level 51 to 59).

It is, for Heavensward for your alt Jobs, if you dont plan to fate grind, the best way is to dungeon grind. You pretty much grind the highest level dungeon available to you so you pretty much change dungeons at every odd level.

The Dusk Vigil 51-52
Sohm Al 53-54
The Aery 55-56
The Vault 57-58
The Great Gubal Library 59-60

Wish Rested bonus + 50% Armory I get about 500k per run in the Vault. The exp is only hindered by my 15 minute DPS que times and the occasional bad party.

I sort of understand the will to have separate roulette but then again, the purpose of the leveling roulette in the game is not as much to give us daily exp bonus, as it is to ensure there are people running stuff so those who need it for main quest or first times have ample player pool. The bonus exp and tomes is just a carrot to make high levels to run the content. When the hw is a bit older and majority of the player base starts to be in the 50+ scale the roulette will start giving more and more the high end dungeons.

Then you probably shouldn't be playing an MMO.

Grind fates while you wait for df, use leves.

Threads like these are a waste and a distraction to the devs. There are real issues that need work.

A waste? I don't think so the OP has legit fixes that are proposed to make the 50-60 grind less like spam 1 dungeon 5-10 for each level. That's not fun or enjoyable it's just that way to make you pay your sub longer nothing else. In ARR levels 15-50, dungeons majority of the time you got your level in 2-3 dungeons tops and that meant you could do the next dungeon sooner. This made the grind less so because you're not stuck doing the same freaking dungeon for like 15 runs before you can do the next dungeon. So no this is not a waste it's an improvement that should be made. It's not like they are ignoring the other changes that need to be made in the game such as class balance.

Yes getting to 60 on alt jobs is a pain. 25 min wait times + crappy exp per kill. Yea you get a nice exp boost from killing a boss but I think it should be doubled if on a second job.

It's called replay value, dungeons are supposed to be run many times by an individual. The sooner you get to level 60 the less you have to look forward to anyway.

I'd have to agree. Not to mention since HW came out all the new dungeons ever drop is damn drg gear all the time.
